That driving instructor mustn't come to here, South Africa. He'll stress out big time, with the minibus taxis. :-) Yeah, Gibraltar being only about 2.5 square miles, yet so much traffic. Should walk more. It's good exercise anyway. :-) Regarding learning to drive in Gibraltar, and then going to the UK - It is then tricky again with having to get used to driving on the other side of the road, sitting in the other side of the car. The slightest forgetting can cause an accident.
@Tanya Duvell Ceuta is 18.5km² in size. Melilla 12.3km² in size. Gibraltar is only 6.8km². Why doesnt Spain give its 30km of North Moroccan coast back to Morocco? Or is it ok for Spain to have colonies but not for UK? the hypocrisy lol 35,000 people here in Gibraltar voted twice overwhelmingly to remain British. It's our Democratic right to Self determination to choose our future and sovereignty. Spain have treated the people of Gibraltar horrible and unfairly in past since day 1, just as the Chinese do to Hong Kong. Which is why we'll never vote for Spanish sovereignty. Plus UK would never want to give up its most valuable Mediterranean base for NATO.
@@maztermonzter9764 Well, thats basically another overseas territory, or enclave. You're right though, enclave or overseas territory is the correct term rather than colony since colony only refers to those who are occupied so, is my mistake.
So what you are saying is that now that we are in the 21 century is is OK to deny the people to choose and determine their own democratic right to be whatever they want to be and return to the colonial times and force people to be Spanish?
Regarding Gibraltar going to Spain, it could be much like Hong Kong. Spain has said that it could have self autonomy. That is where Spain only controls its defence and foreign affairs. The flag could remain, as it's said to be actually a Spanish flag. The British military could also remain, as both Britain and Spain are in NATO. Spain should then give Spanish Morocco back to Morocco.
it was ceded by Spain the UK , also it is d in up to the People of Gibraltar who have said in plebiscites they want to remain British have you never heard of democracy??, I am from Northern Ireland and people always say we should be "returned" to Ireland when we have never been part of the Republic of Ireland we want to remain British like the Gibraltarians
I flippin' know that, and I flippin' have heard of democracy! I did say COULD. Flippin' read what there is to read, not how you want to read it. And, it's like with Northern Ireland, where it COULD unify with Ireland and be a federated state of it. Or, else Northern Ireland COULD be a special administrative region of Ireland, where Dublin only controls its defence and foreign affairs. The British military COULD then also remain in Northern Ireland, as both Ireland and Britain are in NATO. Well, also Northern Ireland COULD be part of Ireland, with the Catholics and Protestants learning to live together in peace and harmony, like at many other places.
Brexit could, or would, affect the UK's border dealings with Ireland and Gibraltar. And, since you have so much to say about it - How is it going, at the border between Northern Ireland and Ireland, and at the border between Gibraltar and Spain, now since Brexit? (Or, anyone else answering those, for that matter, like in Northern Ireland.)
@@GoodVideos4 Stockholm syndrome comes to mind for all the above places named. No one in the uk would consider any people from those places British even if they technically are! They would be foreigners and foreigners only. None of those accents are From the uk. 90% of the people on this programme are infact FROM ENGLAND originally, real Gibraltarians sound like they have a foreign accent (somone outside uk who has learnt English) do people from Northern Ireland really think the English wouldn’t call them Irish LOL
