The Guitar in the 2022 Movie was not a Fender Coronado, but a Hagstrom Viking II. However, Elvis did use a Fender Coronado II in Speedway.

WELL ACTUALLY the guitar on the poster is a 1966 Hagström Guitar, I only know because in Sweden every guitarist has to know that Elvis played a Swedish guitar once

That was not a Fender on the poster. He used a Hagstrom on the 68 comeback special / movie poster.

Gorgeous guitar, I’m a little surprised Gibbie didn’t decide to go with an Ebony board though. I think it would’ve made it even nicer with that whole ‘ebony look’. Great playing too as always Cooper 🤙

PS ~ Now that I’m thinking about it more, perhaps the ebony wouldn’t stand out as much @ the bridge though with that black paint and you definitely want to show off that beautiful mustache bridge no doubt.

I've always loved SJ-200's and I've always loved black acoustics. This guitar has been my dream guitar long before they started making them (although they occasionally come in black as a limited run). Unfortunately there are days when I don't have the money for them.

In the movie, "Loving You" (his second film) Elvis plays a blonde Gibson J-200, not a ebony one.

Guess neither of you were around to see Elvis live other than in Vegas. What's the neck profile and scale on that? I still like my unsigned Chris McKee signature Taylor 914ce and the J45. But tempting.

The Fender Coronado was introduced in 1966.

Yes, they did a Mexico made reissue in 2014 but it didn’t stick around long. There was a Starcaster as well.

Can you guys do a comparison video of top of the line dreadnaughts from different brands and highlight what the differences are? e.g between a Martin D28 and Furch Red D-SR that are same shape, top, back and sides, but I imagine they are quite different sonically? P.S. Love the show, keep up the great work!

He did in the 50s with the Blue Moon Boys when he started out. I'm not sure exactly when he got the big Gibson SJ-200s but ever since he hit the stage in Vegas in 69 he had various Gibsons on stage.
