Honestly, this is one of the best songs I've ever heard that was written for a movie, in terms of capturing the spirit of the film. The lyrics nail Peter Parker to a tee.
Batman is a billionaire, with a butler, who trained as a ninja to avenge the death of his parents. Peter Parker is a guy who does his laundry, works at a pizza place, and eats cake with his neighbor. Of the two, Spider Man is far more relateable. His powers are cooler too, IMO.
@@iganduyan07 nah! Spider-man is more believable! Batman never here's the word no! Not when he comes at girls or any other method. Every girl ain't gone want you, no matter how much money you have. But yet Batman gets every chick in the DC universe He get alien chicks, meta humans, goddesses, human models, and actress's. He scare everybody on his team despite being the weakest in terms of physical attributes. He didn't have to come in League meetings but it's a must for everyone else. You have to make an appointment with him to step foot on Gotham. But he could just step foot on your city without yo say in the matter. He smarter. He smarter then everyone else on the justice league despite having heroes who's just as smart as him or smarter. Spider-man don't get every girl he actually gets turned down by a few on the avengers. He struggles to pay his rent, he can't beat everyone on the avengers or is he the smartest member. He don't scare no one with a stare who is hell alot more powerful then himself either! He can't take on a galactic being who can move earth alone either. Spidey is far more believable then Batman, the only fake and unreliable thing about Spidey is he has powers.
"The villain I can't knock down." After all these years, this is still one of the best songs by Yellowcard. THE BEST superhero movie related song, and probably one of the best songs ever made. The lyrics, the build-up, the violin, the chorus, the emotions. Got chills when I heard it back in high school, still got chills now as a 26-year old man.
That bridge part with the violin solo is just so beautiful and sad, and the drums build up to the guitar solo with the cool effects. And the chorus melody that just hits u in the feels. This is probably one of my favorite Yellowcard songs and probably one of their bests
All these years listening to this and it just hit me WHY THIS WAS THE SPIDER-MAN 2 song GODDAMN xD cause I never saw this music video but heard this song a lot
Easily the best yellowcard song of all. They weren’t necessarily my favorite band, but their songs are by far the most infectious. One of the few bands from this era of music that hasn’t aged terribly.
just saw this live last night in Sacramento and it brought me chills. did not expect to hear it and it made me so happy to remember such an awesome song. Thank you Yellowcard for kicking ass.
There have been 6 movies with Spider-Man in it and tbh this is still the best one. Don't get me wrong Captain America: Civil War is great but this movie is a part of my childhood and the soundtrack is amazing and even farther this song is amazing 😍
Spiderman 1-2 are classics, 3 is fun but can't compare to the other two. Toby is the best Spiderman and spiderman of sam reimi is the best. 2000-2007 were good years.
In 2004 i heard this song with joy, because i love both spiderman and yellowcard, back then when i was a teenager, life was simple, watch great movie with amazing soundtrack... Now, they just bring tears, missing the band, watching spiderman now is not the same, and i guess i know the pain of words that i cannot say, having a villain i cant knock down, and seeing my love ones in every 'punch' i take... Hope we all can still fight on....
This has been my rank 1 song since 2004 and no other song has been able to surpass this one. So romantic, it so perfectly describes what Spiderman really goes through, a simple person who does so much for everyone without anything in return. Even at the cost of his happiness.
This was the best spiderman soundtrack ever...almost every song was a big hit for me and all I listened to for 6 months straight....not even kidding! Ugh the memories going back and listening to this now! Yellowcard was the bomb back then!
At 24, I missed felling as much love as I have with this song as I had when I was a child soaking up romance movies . . . I love the compulsion to scream along.
This is still one of the best songs (and Yellowcards greatest) out there. So many memories of when this song and the rest of the soundtrack when it came out when I was young. You can't listen to this song on any steaming platform except RU-vid. Thankfully I sailed the high seas many many many moons ago and got it.
if you know all the dialog of the scenes chosen for this video by heart, which i do, since i watched spiderman 2 like 30 times, then you can almost completely feel the emotional pain of peter parker in this movie through this song. Mannnnnn, apiderman2 is the best out of all superhero movies, nothing can beat it.
I was just at their farewell show in San Diego... I was so stoked to hear this song live. So beautiful and well written, the way Ryan always tells a story through the lyrics, this is a perfect example. Gonna miss these guys. Thank you for everything :(
My favorite band. My favorite superhero. Such a great song. Very well put together video. This song just screams heroic. Love this song after so many years.
"I see your face with every punch I take, and every bone I break, its all for you And my worst pains are words I cannot say , still I will always fight on for you" This song is fitting to Spiderman 1 & 2 with Toby. The writers of the film did justice of what Spiderman is to himself, his family, his friends and to the citizens that he protects. Even if it cost him his sanity, he continuously fought for them. I wish Sam Raimi will direct another Spiderman film.
Yellowcard has some of the most touching songs I've ever heard. I first them years ago, but only recently have I been really able to understand them. It's also pretty rare for me to not get bored of songs that I've heard for years, but some of theirs songs manage it.
this song all for mary jane.. if spiderman was real i could have never endured what he's trying to endure now.. so much love. that is.. i am so speechless.. oh, and kirsten dunst is the perfect mj watson for me. amazing song.. i also never really truly appreciated this song until i saw this clip this is completely and undoubtedly the most fitting song for a hero doing his best to protect the girl he loves and trying to keep the secret.. even if she has no idea how much burden it is. gifts&curses
This song is a gift and a curse. An absolute masterpiece that they probably don't own the rights to and has never hit the ears of millions who would love it.
Just about a perfect concept song. Too often songs written specifically for a movie don't turn out so well. I love the music, lyrics, creativity. Great song.
Back when they made great Spider-man films with Kickass soundtracks... Don't know any songs from any other Spider-man movies apart from the original trilogy,
tobey was the first to bring that authenticity and vulnerability to the life of a superhero onscreen. no one will ever come close to what he did. tom holland will just be another avengers cliche
ah man, i know i commented this already but oh man, i just gotta say the violin leading solo leading up to the guitar solo is just pefection fantastic, i can't stop listening to this song!
