It's awesome to see a pollie actually standing for what's right and not caving to the status quo. Good on ya Senator for being one of the very few voices willing to stand for Australia and it's people.
Still can't believe they cleared people into this country in such a short time. The immigration department and Minister are a joke, putting so little thought in regards to the safety of the Australian people and our society, as if we're not worthy of any concern.

As for the visas, I do agree that the government should protect Australians first and if a non naturalised or non-Australian born person in this country should be convicted of a heinous crime, they should be duly deported as they could have applied for citizenship in the meantime if they really wanted to be an Australian. These people want to stay their own but reap the benefits of legitimate Australians. I see Labour didn’t want to challenge you by appearing. Yes Albo, I noticed that.
I would love them to share their Risk Management System with the controls they have in place and how many of them have failed. It is my understanding that these civil servants are well paid and well looked after - should we expect higher standards. But what do I know - I am just a tax payer who has to put up with what I am given in the way of safety. Thanks you James Paterson for shining a light on this debacle as well as the rushed visas. The government's first duty is to Australian people - not to cave to rushing visa approvals due to pressure from some in Parliament and other sectors.

Deeply concerning. The government MUST show decisive strength and action immediately. Giles needs to go and provision 99 must be scrapped. The govt has been caught out here and must now admit it and protect Australian citizens.
What an excellent speaker is James Patterson! He is knowledgeable and intelligent and we need him as prime minister. He is everything Albanese is not! Thank goodness for James, he is a shining light in the gloom of politics.

I'm worried about the future of my childrens children. I've seen videos posted online where people are calling for a global caliphate. When our laws no longer apply to those who have their own laws, we should be worried. I've heard testimonies from UK politicians. It is really concerning
