The Australian Cyber Strategy clearly states that those involved in strategic leadership of Cyber Security must be qualified and experienced. Does the National Cyber Coordinator have university qualifications and significant experience in Cyber Security? Do any of them? Seems ironic...... Doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, teachers and social workers all must be qualified, experienced and registered. Anyone can be a Cyber expert and lead strategic direction. Why should anyone study hard and choose it as a career in Australia. It's not what you know, it's who you know for these jobs.

The gov seems to love appointing General service officers (GSO) from the ADF to these positions and will pick the closest relevant field from the applicant pool. GSO's, throughout their careers in the military, are a jack of all trades, master of none. The get posted around every two years to completely different positions just for general experience and exposure. But they are never in the positions truly long enough to affect any actual skill acquisition or specialisation. They are mainly there to provide generic leadership, but are not really subject matter experts at all in the people they are leading in that specialist area. Truth is, she will keep this post for two years, then the Army will reel her back in and give her another conspicuous service cross medal for 'mastering' that position in what would be less than 24months. Most of time, they affect little to no change at all, due to the short period they sit int eh chair for.
You think voting in a different party will make any difference??? Seriously????? Thats all we ever done is vote in a different party and look where we are today!!!!!! It’s insane!!!!! Voting them out is holding them accountable!!!!!! Every politician must individually held accountable and punished for corruption, for not adhering to promises, for accepting donations from all lobbyists etc etc

They are spending nearly half a billion on 2 new luxury aircraft for Airbus Albo and his ministers though and probably was not a lot left in the kitty from the Voice and whatnot. We can only hope they have full DEI flight crews.
There is NO way to cut cyber security spending in times where attacks are becoming increasingly frequent, especially when they want to force people into cashless payments, digital ID and more unacceptable programs 😡😡
