So I got my Fatboy today and it’s in good condition. It clicks but I don’t have a quarter turn on mine? I’ve never owned a vintage Gillette adjustable so I have no reference. Is there an easy way for my to fix it? It’s an E3 1959 Fatboy
I have seen some with that quarter turn issue but, it's hard to say without seeing it. Often disassembling can show what the issue is ie. full of crud, mineral deposits or mechanical.
hi john here really like the work you do on gillette slim adjustable down the road when i get a slim wanna send it to you guys to have it done like the one jj shaves has thanks john
I just bought one on EBay listed as *Excellent condition, fully functional* for $60 and I’m hoping to doesn’t have any major issues. I don’t own a vintage Gillette adjustable so I have no pointed reference if something is out of place. This video definitely helps… is there anything else I should look for when I get the razor? Edit: the only thing I know is I can date a Fatboy by the dual bottom key slots in TTO dial. That one looks like late 50’s and the 60&61 don’t have that dual slot inside the bottom. You obviously know what you’re doing. Do you offer repair on vintage Gillette adjustable’s?
