I also like the "Mach 3" razor. The only drawback is that the cartridges only last for a couple of shaves. It seems like the lubricating strip wears out relatively fast. I probably get 5 or 6 shaves out of my headblade cartridges.
The Mach 3 is a good razor though the replacement blades are a bit pricy….one thing I do like about using the M3 is that if you cut yourself with a DE you can shave every day using the M3 and the wound won’t reopen which is not the case using a DE razor as I have found out.
Hey Rick! Classic shave! Gillette should have stopped with 3 blades but then they wouldn't make the huge profits they do if they did,😆😆! I actually still have several of my Mach 3's from when they first came out in 1998! One is still in original packaging never opened. Thanks for all the variety on your channel! Have you tried the Lord L6 DE razor yet?? I purchased one for under $6 off Amazon and it was great!!
Thanks for the support Jim! That's awesome you have all those vintage razors, I agree 3 was enough. I used the Lord a few years back and gifted it to a friend. It was a good budget razor.
Well, overall I like Gillette Mach 3. It's an iconic razor, but I've never shaved as good as I wanted to with it. Maybe it's my stubble or "just" three blades. Plus, the upper lubricant strip fades away after the first shave. But, it's a good cartridge razor for someone who has never shaved this way. Have a great weekend 🙂
