Awesome video! Very well explained. Previously used the ProGlides' and absoluetly loved it, so I recently purchased the All Purpose Gillette Stylers' to give them a try. They are electric, uses the same razor heads (or any that fits the clip) and vibrate when you shave, making it slightly easier to shave in my opinion. I'm not sure if you want to give them a shot, but I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Gillette Proglide is the best! I went down the double edge old school razor rabbit hole a few years ago! I say embrace modern technology. It is superior!
The ProGlide is a great shave!!! Good video!!! My favorite razor is the Gillette Labs Exfoliating bar razor.... but I also use my ProGlide still, from time to time. I will be honest though, that Gillette Labs quick foaming gel is on another level....

Thanks ! And cheers for the comment. I'm testing so many different razors at the moment I don't really get to the point where they are totally blunt. But after 2 to 3 weeks I would certainly feel a big difference on most cartridges which is 14 to 21 shaves roughly. Thanks again for the comment.
I've used a DE razor for the better part of 10 years and thought I'd give this one a try. In my honest opinion it's a fantastic shave. Will the blade last one month? I will see as I have a pretty thick facial hair which is why I started DE shaving as the Mach 3 I had to drop due to the price and it's lacklust performance. This is generations better than a Mach 3 and I would argue on par but DE shaving if you find the right blade and razor combination. Those slanted razors with a feather blade. Oooowee. 😂
@sharpshaves I’ve been using the proglide and it really is a great close comfortable shave, as is the labs razor in terms of performance they are both the same shave. The best 2 razors in my opinion, I would highly recommend them 👍
Hi. That's a tricky question. I'm so busy trying different razors that they don't often have time to get blunt. Depends how often you shave etc too. The Gillette blades seem good quality and will last a couple of weeks at least. They still seem in reasonable shape after a month. Other brands dull a bit quicker. You can squeeze the life out of a blade but it becomes a bit unpleasant. Nothing like a new blade for that Sharp look. Hope that helps a bit but it's a really hard one to answer. So many variables.

@Paul Carlin hi Paul. Thanks for your comment. I generally shave every day when I'm working and then let it slide at the weekend or if I can get away with it. I think there are loads of parameters that influence how long blades last. Really hard to be helpful here. I think how course your beard is and how often and other factors all make a difference.
@paulcarlin5181 Gilliete says 20 shaves per blade are needed, and if you shave every 3 days, a blade will last you a month. I bought it the other day, and I've used it three times now. No skin irritation, no super smooth cuts for me, but it could all change on shave 5. I don't know, but so far, so good.
Cheers for the comment. I find it works for me if I go with the grain for my first pass. My beard grows in different directions hence I change direction.
