Most of these so called "preachers " are in the pulpit, for all the wrong reasons. Money, popularity are just two of them! I really do not believe they are called to "minister " to anyone. I feel fear for the people who sit under these so called "preachers". Are they saving anyone from hell? The last day's are definitely here!!

I am reminded of the Anglican Bishops I respect so well actually agrees with Phil Johnson. Dr Foley Beach has said "Today, let us not forget to give thanks to the One who has given us liberty, freedom, and a great nation. While many individuals and political organizations are attempting to remove any reference to Almighty God from our public life, let us know our history and our rights as Christian citizens of this nation." Bishop Mark J. Lawrence said "What do the Scriptures teach? As I’ve told students and adults over the years there is much that God has already answered for us in the Bible and many of life’s sorrows and disappointments can be avoided by following his word. This is the point St. Paul makes in 2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness….” So, for instance, when the apostle counsels those considering marriage not to be “unequally yoke,” he’s reminding us to make sure the one we marry shares our faith in God. Not to be able to share that which is most important to us with our spouse is a recipe for sorrow or disappointment. And don’t forget to seek the Church’s consensus on the meaning of Scripture."

Joseph - I was baptized in 2007 and my relationship with God has grown. No one is taking away your rights, God is everywhere and can't be taken from anyone. Jesus said to pray in public, he also criticized the religious, wealthy, Pharisee for praying in public and looking down on others. Let's look at what Jesus asked of his followers in the Gospel: 1)Don't store up money 2) Take care of the poor and the least of thee. Never did Jesus say to force God on anyone, we're to come to him of our own free will. Nor did he ever say to make new laws that take away God's free will from others. Right now, our most vocal Christian representatives are the type of hypocrites that Jesus publicly chastised. They vote to take from the poor and give to the rich, voting to allow dumping of sludge into God's rivers and streams for money, destroying the earth for fossil fuel instead of using God's energy sources, taking away food from the hungry, taking medical care away from the sick. None of them are acting like followers at all! However, they want to use God to put kids in cages. I see churches that are vulgarly wealthy that actually tell others to pray for money and other riches. That's expressly forbidden in the bible and we aren't supposed to pray for material things for ourselves. All of the suffering caused right now in this country is because of Christians, and that's a shame. I will always follow Christ but I'm tired of the churches that don't care about DOING what Jesus told THEM to do, instead, they want to shove the bible down everyone's throat and threaten them with hell. They think that every person that is rich is "blessed". If you use people at poverty wages that can't afford medication, in order to become a millionaire, that's not a blessing. "Broad is the path and narrow is the way.." it's funny that those that attend church regularly think this is only meant for nonbelievers. You have to do what Christ asked of YOU, not go around telling everyone else what sin is forgivable and which isn't. We have a congress that is crawling with scheming liars that boast of adultery, cheat, scam and take from the poor...all the while jailing people for using God's plant! People have prayed for cures to cancer and seizures, God made one a long time ago, but since the nasty Christians in congress can't benefit from it, and pretend that it's a dangerous substance, they'll have people sit in cells while the screw over the poor. The bible does not forbid marrying a nonbeliever. What you're saying is "don't even try to bring them to God through love, God doesn't want that".

Joseph - Maybe you can explain something to me, I haven't run across a Christian yet that could. Jesus said to follow in his footsteps, to do as he did, to remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. Jesus was a Jew that honored the Sabbath on the last day of the week, Saturday. Never did Jesus say to disobey the ten commandments or disregard his teachings. Why did Christians change it? Jesus fulfilled the prophecy, no one else was mentioned that would come along with instructions to ignore what Jesus held sacred. Jesus never said to hate Jews or ignore the temple and do away with all of his traditions....why was all this changed?
