It's not that she exploded. It's that it happened so suddenly and violently that I nearly pissed myself laughing. Ginga Green just passively standing in the middle of it is the cherry on top.
id say its a good alternative to just seeing a dead body as a way of censorship. despite how "dark" sentai plotlines are i dont think creators want kids to believe these "good guys" were just straight up murdering people.
I will never NOT find it funny whenever villians randomly explode in the middle of a moment that's supposed to be dramatic. 💀 Of course, I'm not saying it's "bad" or that it "ruins" the moment or anything like that, but it can be a little funny sometimes when you watch it without any context. xb
