I have just gotten the movie "The Major And The Minor" starring Ginger Rogers and Ray Milland on Blu-ray and it is a beautiful transfer of a 1942 film. This is one of my all time favorite films and my favorite Ginger Rogers film. It is not a musical, but one of the best romantic comedies ever. I don't think that Ginger has ever been better in a comedy and she's beautiful in it. She's not a blonde but a redhead, but of course you can't tell because the movie is in black & white. Ginger pulled out all of the stops as an actress. She played herself, she played a 12 year old girl and she played her mother. Now if that sounds confusing see the movie. I have seen many movies that I remember as a kid and many times I am disapointed because their not as I remembered them, but not this film "The Major and the Minor". +
