Gingerbread Man Stencil 

Here's a great example of using the surface color in your stencil. With our gingerbread man, we prepare our surface by painting it a nice warm brown: the color of gingerbread. Then we use the white and dark stencil layers (leaving out the midtone) to add icing, shadow and other decorative details. The result is awesome!
