Finally honest review of Profondo! 👍 Many reviewers have given bad reviews, and I can't understand why 🤔 Profondo is probably the most mass pleasing scent I've smelled in years, and it also performs well. Niche snobs won't like it, but ladies around you will 😅

I'm one of the bad reviewers. It's light boring and redundant. Smells like a pleasant laundry detergent. Anyone saying this is better than the regular vintage acqua dna or Profumo is insane!!! Smells like a heavily watered down bleu de chanel.

As a fragrance lover that's not really into decidedly polarizing scents, I applaud your common sense and recognition for the mass pleasing and widely popular type of fragrances. Exactly. Just smelled it yesterday and I like it. More than Profumo. I like that it's pretty much an intense version of the original. The opening is absolutely amazing.

I bougth the 200ml of this, i smelled it at macy's and i smelled the PROFUMO and i fell in love with the PROFONDO, it smell's like the original di gio and profumo mixed, it's a beast on my skin i get 14 hour's on my skin and on my clothe's it last day's also project's like crazy on me the sillage people can smell me everywhere and compliment

Honest review 👏. You have high end colognes but can still appreciate designers. You would be surprised how hard it is to find reviews like yours on RU-vid. Its almost like just because they like profumo they can't like this.

Love it, my favorite AdG so far. Exactly like Ash says, Modernized version of the original. My nose couldn’t handle Essenza or Profumo. Got mine at Dillard’s while they had a 25% OFF sale last weekend. 4.2 oz for $111 after tax. Score 👌🏼

I completely agree! If you’ve worn the original ALOT as we all did years ago this isn’t much different tbh. I bought it and sold it pretty quickly but kept a decant which I then used very quickly! I wouldn’t pay retail but I’d get a partial bottle if I could get it cheap. It’s like the original on steroids Edit: I’m surprised people are saying it’s weak, olfactory fatigue maybe? I can clearly smell it on myself and clothes the next day 🤷‍♂️

I own about 90 colognes and I just always find myself grabbing the ADG profundo, absolut,Profumo lol you just can’t go wrong with any of them. There’s a reason why they are the number one sellers and I don’t mind smelling common ADG just does everything right

I love it and I agree wholeheartedly that Profundo is more Summer/Day and Profumo is more night/cooler weather. I think you could easily get away with Profundo in a clubbing situation in the summer.

just got my profondo 10 mins ago, lemme tell you of my first impression. The opening is 50% the original Acqua di gio, 30% bleu de chanel and 20% the discontinued giorgio armani sport code, all of which I have owned multiple times before, and those three are my top fragrances of all time, albeit in the reverse order. I have said once to my girlfriend, I wish I could find a perfume that mix all of these together, fastforward and here we go, PROFONDO. Profondo to my nose has a lot from bleu de chanel that I wanna pump the 30% into 40%. It's definitely much more mature than the original acqua di gio. I love this scent... a lot

Bro. This is gonna sound crazy. But did you ever go to a Denny’s in North Carolina about 6-8 years ago? I remember a guy who looked just like you and was wearing a strong cologne, and I loved it and actually asked him about it and he said it was a French cologne worth about ~ $300. I swear I think it could’ve been you man. Let me know! This was an experience of mine that actually got me into colognes

I went to check this out in the store today. I liked it. Liked it a lot. I also had a chance to check BLEU DE CHANEL Eau de Parfum Spray and Eau de Toilette. Wasn't crazy about the Chanel EDT. I liked the Chanel EDP, but not as much as Profondo! I liked this a bunch! I already ordered it. Thanks

For me, Essenza was the only one that had an unbearable calone “profile”. I wouldn’t say that smelled like egg but it was kinda “sour/salty”.

I am a little late here but I finally got to this one and love it. Profumo is too thick and dark for my taste but Profondo is right in the middle at the correct spot and I agree totally with the slight "blue" vibe. Does anyone else think that Profondo and "Tiffany in love" smell really similar? The latter of course without the ADG-DNA but I just compared them and they are extremely close to each other. So much so that I instantly thought of the comparison.

Thank you for the great video. I am really digging this juice. Has a aquatic cave vibe. Love the opening. Girlfriend loves this... Im realizing, for an EDP after the first 5 to 10 mins I can spray as much as I want and it won't choke us out. I’ve had this for a couple weeks now, used it as a work scent mostly. Switch to profumo at night if I’m going out or meeting up with my gf. Profumo definitely last longer though.

For me when I first smelled it I felt like it's a mixture of Bleu de Chanel with the original Aqua Di Gio DNA. For me it is definetly better than the original version of Aqua Di Gio and smells more modern. If you consider buying ADG I would suggest to buy the Profondo Version. By all means Profumo has nothing to do with Profondo as I first thought because of the name similarity. Just to say that..

Question: are people just going to think it’s the original Aqua Di Gio when they smell it on you? Like how they do with Profumo? Edit: I have a 10ml sampler of it now, and it smells very different from original Acqu Di Gio... Everybody is saying it smells like a more fresh/blue and modernized version of the original, but to me it doesn’t even smell very similar at all in my opinion. I don’t know if anybody else knows this cologne, but it smells identical to the American Fighter cologne that used to be in Buckle. But now the American Fighter smells a bit different for some reason.

People might not believe this... I test sprayed this about 30 hours ago. I've showered twice during that time and I can still slightly smell it on my hand. Very fresh smell, it's going to be my summer signature this year.

I blind bought this, and i'm highly regret to buy it. I only can note a slight similarity to the original Acqua Di Gio. I feel it very weak, specially to be a EDP. I barely can feel the notes. I don't know if this is only me, since I just bought it today, but have been trying it the whole day, and i can't find anything special about it. I can't talk about compliments, because i've been the whole day at home, so i will keep using it during the week to see if i can find something that make it worth what i paid for it, but so far, it's a big bust.

Give it some more time for the scent to open up as more air gets into the bottle, it may seem to last longer on skin and become more noticeable as the fragrance seems to go through a maceration process like many other fragrances. However, olfactory fatigue will also come into play because after a few minutes the nasal receptors will send a signal to the brain to start ignoring the scent like it does for many other scents we encounter throughout the day. It does it to avoid sensory overload due to the nasal receptors constantly being bombarded by scents. Olfactory fatigue is the reason why we don't smell pet related smells easily in our own homes either, but if we go to someone else's place we are bombarded with the scent of a pet as soon as the door is opened due to a change in environment

I bought profumo from fragrance net and I thought it smelled like axe on my skin. Like it literally had that bad middle school boys locker room smell. It took me straight back to being 13 years old. Did I get a bad bottle? When I sprayed twice in the same spot it was pretty oily

You shouldnt buy fragrances online because of a chance of a fake fragrance you should stick to buying colognes physically

Ash- picked this one up online from Belk and it came in late last week; been wearing it on and off trying it out since. I really like it, and I agree with your assessment between it and Profumo. Though I like Profumo better personally (I like the complexity and the "darkness" by comparison), Profondo DEFINITELY will get tons of wear this spring and summer. It's especially fantastic outside in the fresh air... it's just wonderful outdoors! I like it more with each wear. When I first sprayed it on, I was kinda, "Meh, same old...", but as it dried down and as I've worn it more, I REALLY enjoy it and am glad I have both. Definitely a modernized version of the OG. I look forward to smelling it side-by-side when the stores open back up. Thanks for this great review; I was hoping you'd do exactly what you did b/c I was curious about your thoughts in relation to Profumo. Keep it up friend; and stay safe and well!

@@Chris-oh4ej Chris- the longevity on this is fantastic as is projection. My skin really absorbs fragrance so sometimes they don’t last on me, but this one has incredible sillage, great projection for the first 2 hours, then even after it dies down there’s a nice scent cloud for another 2 hours. All in all, it’s pretty noticeable for about 4 hours, and I get a total of about 8 hours; folks can still smell it when they get close. It’s a fantastic value for the price. Definitely one I’ll always have in my collection.

@@Chris-oh4ej Chris it really depends on the sent profile you’re after… Profondo is definitely way more aquatic and “green”. Profumo is smokier and darker with more incense. And then the new Parfum is very much like the original, which is aquatic too, but I would say less green. Are you looking for something, very springtime and early summer? Day or night? Or year-round/general?

Even heavily discounted, this is over $100 a bottle. One of the few I'll pay retail if i have to. I think all the flankers have a tough job as you are competing with the most successful frags out there. Absolu is another one i absolutely love the smell.
