Super! Thanks for the upload. I have been more and more into the great music of Pacini lately.......such a wonderful composer......sadly neglected .

He was only about 21 years old at the time of composing this opera. Incidentally, the story of the opera is the forerunner of Donizetti's La Favorite.

It reminds me a lot The Barber of seville : Oboe solo, "rossinian" crescendo (in wich the theme is very similar to the Barber) I love this ouverture!
