Wow, that's pretty cool. 515 wpm as portrayed in this short video is crazy though.. is that genuinely possible with a normal machine like that? I manage to type 120 wpm on a QWERTY keyboard but that's about where it stops.

@@OrgBrent Edit: *Of course I mean I have 435 KEYSTROKES not WPM! My WPM equals 87. And the world record lies somewhere around 800 keystrokes! WPM would be insane 😂. I amixex those up so thanks for bringing that to my attention* I actually did a test today because I was curious. My best result was actually 437 wpm out of 3 tries :D. But I have read that the world record today is at about 800wpm. I really think that this would be impossible with typewriters back then though, because of the resistance of the mechanics and how far you actually have to push down on a key. I think on something like this I would miss out big lol. My Laptop has this ultra flat keyboard so it's way easier for my short fingers to fly over it, and to be fair I type so much for my work that I have lots of practice. I also do creative writing in my free time so I basically don't have to think about what my fingers are doing.

@@appetizingpiggy2212 Haha you think so? Well to be fair, it later turned out that my best friend wasn't actually my friend at all. She was more the queen bee type and I was just one of her minions. She cast me aside when others started to bully me at school. But at least I can say while I just came along for the typewriting thing to please her, now it actually helps my career. We never know how even the toxic people we meet can bring us somehow further in Life.

@@LukeVilent She use to work in the court and type out whatever was spoken during trials. So she was really good and would have competition within the governing sectors. She would come home practicing her speed 1 month before the competition because we are really poor back than. So winning is the only way she could save up money for my mother to further her studies and pay for her expenses. But she would also take out some of this money to get us small gifts to keep us happy with my mother having to work and study back than. So my grandmother is helping out with taking of us and working as well when ever she can even if she is at a retired age. That is why watching this is like it bring backs so much memories. 😊
