Girly Sims 4 life stories need to be stopped... 

My mic audio corrupted when recording this video. Thanks to AI I was able to mostly save it but if you're wondering why my laugh sounds insufferably distorted it's because of the corruption. I didn't want to re-record the video as I wanted this to be my blind reaction to the stories. If I re-recorded them it would have been forced. I'm really sorry :(

What you said at the end is very true. I tried to be body positive at the time I hated myself. I wouldn't really take care of myself and had somehow Gasliit myself into thinking I was happy with it until I had a meltdown in front of my mother about how much I wanted to change myself. She gave me a new haircut, new clothes, and new shoes that better suited me. Moral of the story: Change yourself if you can't feel good in your current state. Also, it's ok to not meet beauty standards but if changing your attitude, clothing sense, weight and new haircut can improve you, Change it!

It's so true, body positivity can be a bit toxic, specially with the "everyone is beautiful" crap, because that's not true. There are ugly people (ugly as they don't fit beauty standards) and it's ok!!! Let me be ugly and at peace with it, and if I don't feel comfortable with my current appearance let me change it without being demonized (like when Adele lost a ton of weight). Btw, you glowed up amazingly! It makes you look more mature and confident and also you really look more happy, which I think is the biggest and best change. When people feel good with their appearance it shows and it's nice to see

You're 100% right imo. There is an imbetween. Yes, you are beautiful and yes you need to learn to love yourself but the only way to truly love yourself is when you take care of yourself. So, do those things that are necessary. You already pay your bills, study, do the wash, etc. So just add your own health to the routine. That's all there really is to it. No magic recipe to use, or anything like that. Just knowing you're worth your own time and effort. Also don't ever put others down. That helps no one, no one at all, not even yourself.

Honestly, when the big girl was a toddler, I think she looked like a Cream Latte Dream sim, though without the e-girl/boy blush. lol I absolutely love CLD's work. He's made some of the hottest guys around imo.

The point is to care about a body not becaused of being ashemed of it, but cause a respect for it. i think that also the key is to balance between mental and physical health - I had a year when I was strugling with my mental health and to sort it out I had to let myself relax, eat junk food and don't care about my look. It helped a lot and now I have a strenght to care about my body like it deserved to. It depens on your own story. Just try to be kind to yourself and others

you don't have to work on yourself to become more beautiful to anyone but yourself, if you want to. But you don't have to close your eyes to the fact that it's healthier to take care of yourself, to take care of yourself, to eat well. Loving yourself also means treating yourself well and taking care of the body you have and keeping it as healthy as possible. it is not self-love to eat yourself to pieces, to get dirty, etc.

It's fun to watch these knowing it's all just in fun. No one is truly making fun of fat or ugly people by making these. The Sims is just a game, but, Satch, like how you shared that it gave you an outlet to explore early sexuality, it gave me an outlet to deal with not wanting to go out in public to do things because of my weight and how I felt about my looks. I've been in many different mindsets over the years about my body from hating myself to the point of harming this body, to the toxic "acceptance" that I don't have to take care of even my health. I can't say I've gotten to a ugly duckling to beautiful swan ending. I am still very overweight in my 40's now. I feel like that balance you are talking about is finally setting in for me though. Accepting that this is the body I have right now, and loving myself enough to take care of it. Maybe it will lead to losing weight, I don't know. I have chronic disorders that make it very difficult for me to lose weight. Either way, I appreciate you sharing your own experience of how caring for your self changed how you feel about yourself. It's meaningful and helping me to take a moment to remember why I'm focusing on my health when I don't see the outward changes. You've always been a bright, funny, attractive guy but it doesn't matter how the world sees you if you don't feel that way yourself.

I think there is a difference between genuinely being happy with the way you are and trying to convince yourself that you are happy. I have a colleague and she’s overweight but is comfortable in her own skin and happy with the way she is. She dresses well, looks after herself and oozes confidence and sexiness. I think that’s what they mean when they say beauty comes from within.

I hate a lot about myself that can't be changed, like glasses. Nope, can't wear lenses 'cause I'm cross-eyed. When I put in effort with makeup, doing my eyes, the glasses ruin it anyways and scrape off the makeup at my nose. It makes me feel like it doesn't matter because I don't look pretty anyways with the glasses ruining it. Even now that I'm working out and eating better, I don't care what I wear because the glasses ruin my whole look.

I used to subscribe to Hatsy's RU-vid channel years ago, I love a good Sims soap opera style drama, now and again, and she's a great storyteller for that, but her videos started getting a little too much for me to handle, though I know she does some pretty wickedly funny videos as well.
