Girl, here’s what I do on my birthday, (I hate parties): I save money the entire year so when it’s my birthday I take my man, jump in the car, we go out by ourselves to eat, we walk in quiet places, we go shopping or if my man is abroad I go by myself to massage, mani-pedi, I do something to relax me, to charge my batteries and make myself to feel special ya know and never, ever felt better, always I was sad about my birthday too, I never felt comfortable at surprise parties, it felt weird, but know I love it. So yeah, girl spoil yourself, take yourself out, pamper yourself, go outside to fresh air, you won’t regret it👌🏼😘 and HAPPY BIRTHDAY❤️

I feel you on the birthday topic, once i turned 20 i've started dreading every birthday after that. im turning 24 the 11th of Feb and it brings me alot of anxiety for some reason. i know i should be happy but i get a sad feeling & i don't know why. And i don't think you're weird for not wanting to go to a club/bar/casino, i'm the exact same way. i've never found the WANT to go to certain places. i'm hitting up target & 5 below to buy whatever i want, then having dinner for my birthday. to others, thats probably regular to them but to me, it brings me joy..it's what I want to do :) So i pray we both get past that sad feeling bc of our birthdays and try to enjoy it when it comes around ❤ Love yaa 💕
I'm the same with my birthday and have been since I was a kid. I'm now 36. I don't mind getting older, so I know it's not that that's bumming me out. I will say, my best bdays were the ones where friends or family or partner dragged me out and made me go out and do something fun. After having unexpectedly lost my older sister a year and a half ago, I've realized celebrating your bday ironically isn't about you in that way. It's about spending that time with your loved ones and those that love you, and making those memories celebrating you making it another year in this life. Life is short hon. Don't over think it. Marisa, I was a competitive swimmer for 3 years & I still almost drowned at the river tube ride at Schlitterbahn. My tube flipped over, & the water current lunged me into the side of a cliff. My legs got stuck, & the water was crashing over me. I seriously thought I was going to drown bc I couldn't push myself out of the hole. I think my boyfriend at the time saw me & pulled me out. If someone hadn't been paying attention & realized that he wasn't holding on to me anymore, I would've never seen my 18th birthday. In a split second things can be over. So celebrate your birthday the way you want to. It's okay to just relax & do nothing. That's what I did for my last birthday. Or if you're feeling up to celebrating then make the most of it. Do whatever makes you happy & spend it with supportive people. Or if you just want time to yourself that's okay too bc it's your day. Spoil yourself with getting your nails done, getting your favorite dessert, going on a shopping spree....just anything that makes you feel good & happy.
