the stages like this i feel the Giro is much more entertained and challenged then the Tour (or last years stage 19) I used to say the Tour is the best, but in the last 3 years i feel like the tour maybe got more attention world wide but the real race of the three big event is the Giro d'talia

Great stage today. It just shows you how entertaining grand tours can be when you don't have a single super strong team (Sky/Ineos) dominating and controlling every single stage. The GC contenders have to survive on their own and can't prevent all attacks. You get riders all over the mountain and lots of excitement. Could a team salary cap work in cycling?

The argument against salary cap is it prevents big money investment in the sport. We see teams come and go EVERY new season. Don't want to make it harder to new money to enter the sport.

@@golfclapper686 I found team sky dominating entertaining. Cycling is a team sport and watching the team tactics is one of the main appeals for me. If they wanted to make it more "entertaining" they could make it an individual sport but I think that would make it less entertaining and a lot less people would watch it as a result.

It is funny how everytime commentators do not see Roglič in main group because he is small they are immediatelly like "oooooohhhhhhh is he suffering is he cracking..." . It's like they want him to fail.

I think it's at least partly because you would expect him to fail at some point, or at least show a notable dip in form. After all, he has never finished in the top 3 of a grand tour. The way he has been riding this year and so far on the giro, he has seemed absolutely invincible. So you would expect that he can't keep it up forever.

It's normal. Roglic is the favorite and everyone is trying to prove that he's not invincible. Everyone also hope that he will have some trouble because that would make the race more fun.

What if Lopez didnt have that bike trouble, he almost came back to roglic and nibali , and he attacked yesterday, so probably the best rider in the mountains , although Landa looks very strong as well

He almost came back but was dropped soon after. He was over a minute after Roglic and Nibali on the finish line. The bike change was nuisance, but he was already at his limit today it seems.

I am even thinking that Nibali realised that (I saw another weird sprint from Roglic which is not in this video) and that this was the reason why he was so pissed at the end of the race. Also, there wasn't really a reason to mention something like "I will show you my thropies" just because Roglic didn't take the pull.
