I adore him! I think that his voice is really unique and he has a incredible technique! This the reason that he can sing really good the part of tenor! It's very difficult with this baritonal timbre to sing very good, and this is the reason that now we don't have this tipe of tenor: there is nobody who can teach this OLD technique
@MsSilvapes Actually, Giacomini is a perfect example of the italian/swedish-school. It's the one taught by Lindquest, Campogalliani, Arrigo Pola and so on. The school has given us singers as Bjorling, Pavarotti, Flagstad, Tebaldi, Freni, Scotto ect. It is still taught today by a few teachers, including mine (he studied with Campogalliani, Tagliavini and Pola). So even though this old method is rare, it is still very much alive! :)
I like his voice a lot. Much better than Domingo for example. I think he sings with more expressiveness than Pavarotti, but Pavarotti had better technique.

I'm sorry, but people like you don't really know what they're talking about. Color does not indicate a voice type. It's people like you who call Kaufmann a baritone because he's got a lot of resonance. You just don't get it. It's where your voice sounds best, where it blossoms. Not to mention, hes very old in the recording and his high notes are losing their lustre. He knows what voice type he is, that's why he's singing tenor. You dont spend that many years learning to sing the wrong voice type
Canto innaturale, una voce tutta costruita sul colore scuro, insomma artefatta. Nove virgola nove cantanti su dieci ci rimangono secchi a cantar così. Giacomini è riuscito ad ottenere buoni risultati ma rimane comunque una voce finta.
Caro lei artefatta non direi ...Una voce dal carattere e dalla pasta vocale drammatica...come tutte le voci grandi non è facile gestire lo strumento vocale..ce ne fossero...egli ha fatto una grande carriera..Non si giudica un cantante da una romanza ma vada a vedere tutta la sua carriera...costellata di successi con personaggi a dir poco proibitivi oggi.Rdames,Chènier,Trovatore,Canio,Don Alvaro,Cavaradossi,Dik Jonson...e tanti ancora...OGGI tutti cantano...ma come?????
@@alessandromoccia471 Giudicare il cantante dalla carriera è da ignoranti totali. Pure José Cura ha fatto una super carriera ma non mi pare proprio un "buon cantante". Al contrario, una romanza già dice moltissimo sul modo di cantare. E ribadisco che Giacomini ha una voce totalmente artefatta, basta vedere le smorfie e la bocca in posizione totalmente innaturale nonché l'affossamento forzoso della laringe. Ripeto altresì che ha avuto dei buoni risultati ma , esattamente come il suo amato del monaco, molte serate erano storte per Bepi proprio perché ingrossare in questo modo la voce crea troppo stress e purtroppo ci rimaneva secco in tante occasioni. Se risponde al commento si sforzi di farlo senza insulti , per il resto le auguro buone feste.
