This is a Very beautiful performed music from Tartini. It was written in 1713. it is about a dream where the devil bacame his student and after one lesson he could perform like the best.

For violins, there is usually a first or solo violin, that would be the main guy playing the solo parts. Then the other violins play together as a section and support the melody in the background. The second violin is usually the head of this group of violins and their job is to watch the conductor and play at the right times. The other violins are then supposed to follow the lead of the second violinist and the conductor. As you said, you can instantly hear if anyone is off in a big way. Having multiple violins playing the same thing at once can mask small imperfections, but in general all the players need to be on their game keeping time and playing the right notes at the right times. The conductor facilitates this, because it’s generally not possible for an orchestra to just keep time by themselves just reading the music. You’ll see the players generally look at their music and up at the conductor an equal amount. Edit: you’ll notice is this performance that there isn’t a dedicated conductor. The first or solo violinist is acting as the conductor and leading the rest of the orchestra. This is obviously only something you can do if you are a very skilled violist. Also, this group has likely practiced this piece many times, after playing something so many times together as a group you get a lot more used to the rhythm and feel of how the piece is supposed to sound.

The lady on the front row closest to Ray is the concert master. She is leading the orchestra and is herself a wonderful violinist! Check out “Por Una Cabeza” by this Amsterdam Sinfonietta!😳

So beautiful. Music for music's sake is the best way to go. From Upchurch, to Edvard Grieg (Hall of the mountain king, one of the best classical pieces ever written) Its what makes us human.

Angelic talking about the music, the devil was the creator of this piece and the devil was once an angel so, we could accept that XD

The story goes that Tartini was having trouble sleeping one night (or was contemplating suicide and wanted one last night of sleep, the stories vary) and the Devil appeared at his bedside. He offered Tartini fame and fortune in return for his mortal soul and began playing the most beautiful music Tartini had ever heard. Waking from this dream, Tartini grabbed his violin and attempted to recreate what he had heard in his dream. Of course, being a mere, if very gifted, mortal, he didn’t quite capture what he had heard. His creation is commonly called “The Devil’s Trill” So, basically, in 1713, Giuseppe Tartini did what Tenacious D did centuries later and wrote “Tribute” (The actual Devil’s trill is when the violinist is playing multiple strings and trilling all the notes. Because of the difficulty involved, quite a few violinists avoid it as much as they can. A more modern version of the trill can be heard in Charlie Daniels’ Band “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” when the Devil does his solo; Daniels’ is playing a Devil’s trill, just not Tartini’s)
