The AOE/TLK Optimus needs a drastic new figure mould, Studio Series is the one to do it! Even so I’m not to sold that it will be 100% perfect, Galvatron being an example of having an accurate look but still having flaws. We’ll have to see when Hasbro come around to making him though?!
I think hasbro won't make his knight design, because overall the bayverse is dying. Hasbro have made so little of bayverse toy since there's the 86' the movie and the new rebooted bumblebee movie
It's not that it's dying. I've heard many many people want more bayverse toys. It's just that Hasbro hasn't been making as many of them. They are getting back into making them now with galvatron and sideways, with more rumored to come in the later year.
@@reinhartjonathan7385, Saying that we’re expecting future Bayverse figures in the future waves for the rest of 2022. In wave 3 which is the upcoming wave we are getting voyager Galvatron, leader The Fallen, deluxe DOTM Bumblebee and Sideways. Wave 4 will have AOE Crosshairs and TLK Hot Rod, so Bayverse looks like its fine at the moment.
I'm happy with my Voyager TLK Prime for now, but if a Studio Series version comes out I'd be super intrigued. TLK's toyline was starting to wind down when I started collecting so the entire line is a bit of a mystery to me, and the figures I managed to get are ones I kinda cherish.
So I picked up the original for 25 Euro here in Spain and painted up by my self and maked more screen accurate but as you say I miss the wrists swivel so much. I put mine displayed with TLK Megatron crossing swords and it's an amazing display Keep it up with your content cause I love so much. Greetings from Spain
I think the TLK version is fine especially if you add reprolabels like I did. Galvatron needed improvement but not much can be done for Optimus other than an accurate paint job.
You know what, I think TLK Optimus was one of the best figures out of the Last knight toyline, this review has definitely shone new light on this figure and makes me appreciate it more because it was the first (well silver knight was first but that guy sucks) movie Optimus toy I got and I got two of him, well because the first one's foot broke off.
I loved it when it came out. It lost appeal for me when i realized that they saved the better deco for the SDCC exclusive, not to mention it doesnt have wrist swivels and the accessories are small. I ended up getting the Dr Wu kit
I’m actually curious, what are your thoughts on SS galvatron. I think he looks fine but the shoulders are too small, but I’ve heard a bunch of people saying that it’s absolutely horrible. I think it’s impressive for what movie galvatron is
I had the same immediate thought when seeing the new Galvatron. It seems they've finally understood the need to do "inside-out" transforming, instead of just shellformering. I think this shows that, as fun as the TLK voyager figure is, it's really, really lazy when it comes to the handling of the kibble. I think they can do much better and I think they will! PS the dark optimus version you have looks really great. I've had almost every version of this mold (retail, SDCC, clear, my own custom) but not this one. This mold has the best proportioned truck mode out of ANY knight prime, IMO (including challenger!).
I'm also glad they are embracing the inside out design. It's a much better way at getting those robot modes from the last two films to work in toy form
@@ThatToyGuy funny though as lazy and inaccurate as the TLK voyager mold is, I’ve really enjoyed it, just like you said in your review. I think the next step is applying the “smaller vehicle mode to larger robot” design that they’ve also mastered in recent years. The reason you feel the truck mode is light is because it’s mostly hollow. If they packed the robot mode into a tighter vehicle mode the kibble would be easier to manage cause the kibble to robot ratio would be smaller.
Perhaps Takara is waiting for studio series to get to it's 100th release, we already are at number 90 so It's for sure gonna be something special. If my theory is wrong then they likely wouldn't bother making Galvatron the number 90. Also would make sense since the knight form of Optimus is like the ultimate evolution of bayverse Prime. Big number has to celebrate something big after all.
Only problem is that Takara's Studio Series release line has completely different numbering after SS08 Blackout. Largely because there are some things Hasbro did, that Takara didn't do. (Ex.: That Thundercracker repaint of Nitro Zeus, KSI Sentry, KSI Boss, etc.)
Something tells me they can use the dotm mold but redue the parts (like the chest ect.) You can have the wheels come apart to form the sheild like. The old leader that way there isnt kibble
Aye! Voyager size with a body mixed between the TLK Voyager and 15 Calibur, especially with the latter's paint, and perhaps the would-be backpack could turn into a movie-accurate shield that also turns into the shotgun, or the gun could instead flatten-out into a smoother backpack that the shield would clip onto and then the sword would slide-in. Also the face-changing as well!
Hey, don’t know if you know this, but Legacy Bulkhead can pooth! If you do the normal transformation steps, but leave the head in its normal position, it pops out in vehicle form!
I honestly would love a new voyager Knight Optimus Prime while the original Voyager is a good figure I honestly think that it could've used a few improvements such as paint job I truly believe the Original was missing alot of the Silver Optimus had in AOE/TLK, a slighter tweak to the backpack But I do agree he should've had Wrist swivels and would've preferred better legs with ankle tiltage
Huh, Takara made an exclusive in the Studio Series line, interesting. I thought Hasbro made a pact with them, hence why we never seen any Takara repaints of Studio Series figures, but looks like something changed
A new knight prime will definitely need better posability. The knees don't even get close to 90 degrees, and the ankles and wrists don't move at all, which really sucks.
Here, let me give you some lyrics to the music. I'm crucified, crucified like my savior. Saint like behavior, a lifetime I pray. I'm crucified, to the holy dimension. Godlike ascension, heaven's away.
Its confirmed were getting a knight prime. Heard he"ll be a leader class Edit: if im not mistaken invasion mode prime would be released first before prime
@@ThatToyGuy well if you can i think you should try to find 10 years anniversary leader class prime he just has a better paint job in my opinion but still get either version im not forcing you to im just saying it would be nice
since we are getting galvatron, there's hope already a knight optimus prime. I have the OG knight prime and its good but not really satisfying, the kibble is an eyesore to some certain extent, and the posability especially the legs are not good, no ankle movement and not good knee bend. I'm still praying for a knight optimus, I was thinking for a new knight prime, the transformation could do a "in and out" sequence, where the truck panels has molded robot sculpt on the other side.
i do need model knight optimum prime..i unable get one and i want with flame deco.. for now i just have Optimus Prime commander aoe even it have big truck thick
@@kaijumastergaming6713 I actually wouldnt mind if that figure would be the last of the studio series line as we are running out of movie characters and optimus prime being optimus prime it would make sense for him to be the final one. I just hope they put alot of effort into him.
I’m down for a bludgeon, but they’re most likely gonna put it in with the generations stuff, since they’re doing more obscure characters, I wouldn’t doubt that they’ll eventually have a leader bludgeon for sure.
Just ordered it. So bugged out with the fact that there isn’t already a knight Optimus so I’m gonna do my best to customize it. Prob the Shield, sword, eyes and some other parts.
@@WyattTFdude I actually love the design of Optimus in the first 3 movies. I like most of the designs during those movies. The designs from 4-5 just get god awful. All the decepticon designs are lazy, using parts from models from older movies. The whole knight thing is just ugly and didn’t even look like a transformer. Just a bunch of robots
But still looks crap.... TT/Hasbro never did right with this figure like movie.... They all just save the production cost by making craps and by limited supply they just raise the price to the extent that kids either have to buy in the name of their favourite character's figure or in the name of collectables which is not worth to showcase
