You need to give your property a rest before the season starts, giving the deer time to get back to more consistent daylight movement. But how long should you be letting your property sit before the season opens or how long should it be without human pressure before the first time you hunt it? There's no one size fits all answer as we are all hunting different deer and different deer tend to respond differently to human pressure. However if you're targeting pressured whitetails, these deer take longer to get back on their daylight patterns, bucks in particular.
