It's like when AC/DC had to replace Bon Scott, Brian was just the right fit for then to continue. I'm glad they had time to mourn Chester and let people enjoy his music a tad more with some of those releases last year. I like the new singer, she'll make her own mark on LP's music :) it even sounds like they are trying to go back a bit to the heavier material with her too. Edit: Fixed a couple of words.

Linkin Park has always been a gateway band, there an interview with Mike Shonoda where he explicitly stated that at some point he realized that and they started writing with that in mind. They're doing the same exact thing they've been doing since Minutes to Midnight. This is Linkin Park, unapologetically so

@@3xodusok being a gateway band doesn't mean you have to go back to same old riffs and rehash them, look at metallica, the black album was the entry to metal for most people back in the day, however the albums after it were totally different, load and reload was nothing like Metallica but there were so many great songs lyrically and sonically. Inamorata in 72 seasons is a 11 min instrumental, that is something new and refreshing, at least LP can experiment with some new stuff.

Heavy Is The Crown is a solid second track from the new LP, and there clearly are metal elements in the rock sound. Puts the new LP into the same rock and metal territory as bands like Sleep Token and BMTH, a blend of aggressive and melodic sounds. This is a good heavy-hitting rock anthem.

Amazing Meteor Vibes from Shinoda's rapping, as always amazing and HOLY... Emily absolutely killing it on the Vocals. Her voice is amazing, vocal range is crazy. Chester would absolutely be shedding tears of happiness to hear this amazing scream. He left big shoes to fill, but she aint shy about the size. I like the song but i don't think it's a good fit for an anthem. Sure this is nostalgic, catchy & well-written but i can't vibe with it as an energetic, uplifting & motivational anthem, if that makes sense. I'm looking forward to hearing more from the new album

love the song, but......until i hear it live, that's a recorded scream that couldve been extended digitally, so until she's red in the face screaming this at a concern making me cry, i'm not so sure on it.

All they need to do is add more distortion and drop tune and they'll be heavy again. Adding new members isn't the issue, its that they're not heavy anymore. Not since Meteora and Given Up So no, there's nothing "heavy" about this song or this new Linkin Park. They sound like Thousand Foot Krutch, and I don't mean any offense to them lol

well, Linkin park has been this way for YEARS, so what is your point? The problem is not the "new" linkin park or members, the problem is that you don't like what the band became years before Chester died
