Thanks for watching Tin. The 48 lid opens up, you just have to push a little sideways. Don’t know why it rubs, but the set up definitely works. Definitely recommend the panniers.

Thanks for this video. Interesting that Givi has a disclaimer that says the rear turn signals will have to be moved...but that does not appear to be the case.

You’re very welcome & thank you for watching. I did see that in the instructions, but I didn’t want to start splicing or pulling wires. Works perfectly without removal as far as I’m concerned. I believe it might be to increase turn signal visibility since the boxes stick out a bit. Gimme a Like & a Sub!

Hey bro I don’t know if you’re aware but the monokey top case has a huge security flaw that can be avoided by installing a small plate underneath, I designed one that can be CNC machined or 3D printed, I send you the CAD files if you want to, it sucks to get your 500 dlls case with helmets and everything inside stolen in less than 30 seconds…. Ride safe brother

Is that a 58 LTR Top Case that gives you interference ? Thank You for your time and effort to help me and others your a good man,

Like the 58L GIVI top case (run a GIVI top box on my FJR1300) but with the GSA I'm looking for symmetric side panel install like the TouraTech or SW MotoTech.

Did you relocate the rear indicators or not? I’ve sold my GS for a newer one and totally forgot to take off the relocation brackets from the original kit when I stripped the frames off to go on my new bike 😂
@AtisWorld
@AtisWorld Год назад
Yo Anthony, GS Brother! I actually didn’t relocate the indicators/turn signals on my GSA. Seemed like a pain in the ass. It isn’t necessary. I’m pretty sure it’s so the turn signals are more visible when the panniers are installed, but I honestly don’t see a big difference. 🤙🏽 I’d say you’re fine without them. 🤨

Thanks for this video. I just bought the brackets as well. The manual papers however say that the indicators need to be moved to a different place. Was that also in your case? Your video does not show the moving of these indicators.

Kim Van Uytsel you are very welcome my friend! Thanks for watching & I hope the video is helpful. Give me a like & a Sub! I did see that the instructions called for the turn signals to be relocated. I attempted to do it, but realized that the wires would have had to been cut and re-soldered. Kinda pointless to relocate them if they function correctly in the current/original position. I ultimately made the decision not to relocate them after realizing the time and work it would take. After months of riding now, I don’t see why they want you to re-located them. All works and looks fine.

Kim Van Uytsel sweet brother. I keyed all the boxes to 1 key. I also made a short video on that. Not too difficult. Check it out it’ll save you some cash ($50+) Otherwise, you’ll need to buy a set of cores that are all keyed alike.

Ati’s World, yes! I do have one and the same key for all my Givi boxes (side, top and tank bags). It is a great system. Thanks!

Hey buddy how about the heat on the exhaust side? Any issues compared with he BWM panniers?? Thanks for the video!
@AtisWorld
@AtisWorld 2 года назад
Same heat issue. Pannier doesn’t make a difference. They should make a heat shield for that side.

Does the tool box fit on the Givi panniers?
@AtisWorld
@AtisWorld Год назад
No the tool box that can normally be attached to the BMW mounting bracket will not fit on the GIVI hardware. Had to go without the tool box with this set up. On a positive note the bigger panniers allows me to just carry the tools in any of the other panniers or top box. Givi’s are much more spacious and cost less than the BMW Panniers. I Highly recommend this set up.

Have you ridden in the rain with these, any leaks noticed? Great video, I'm looking at these panniers too.
@AtisWorld
@AtisWorld 3 года назад
Richard, I live in Southern California so to be honest I haven’t had the chance to test these out in the rain since we hardly get any. From what I remember they say they are water resistant. The inside of the lid has a rubber gasket that prevents moisture from entering. I do feel that the bags have a good enough seal that they wouldn’t allow water to enter. If you’re looking for waterproofing for extreme weather I know they do sell bags for the inside of the panniers that makes them 100% waterproof. I’ve washed the bike with the bags under regular water hose pressure and no water go inside. These bags are top notch 100% satisfied. Thanks for watching.

@@AtisWorld thanks for your feedback. I think if no water got in when you washed your bike with the hose then they should keep rain out as well. I don't plan on doing any off roading through deep water so that scenario isn't an issue. Thanks again, really enjoyed the video and your analysis. Best wishes to you, ride safe brother!

Richard Blair anytime brother, I agree. Yeah, just don’t dump the top box in a lake or River and you’ll be fine hahahaha. Safe ADV Travels, Shiny side up & rubber side down!! 🤙🏽
