I was homeless for 28 years & most homeless people would give their shirt off their back to help you. Most homeless people are homeless through no fault of their own , just had abusive families/partners or just lost a job. Never look down on soemeone unless you are about to help them get up."

There's a channel from a guy that films homeless people and collect their stories, it's called "Invisible People", look it up. A guy he interviewed mentioned that the first thing you learn when you first have to sleep on the streets is to use your shoes as pillow, because otherwise they'll steal them. They'll steal your shoes. That's how low it goes. Some people living in the streets are just normal people that had it rough and are completely broke. Some others are hyenas, junkies and alcoholics that would stab someone just to steal their pants. Imagine how hard it is for the former to defend from the latter when they have literally nothing.

I still come back to this video. I watched this video since it was posted back when I watched it “8 months ago” and now it’s been 3 years. I’m surprised how time flew by so quickly and I still think of this woman and how her baby is doing.
My tears are flowing with gratitude for the simple studio apartment I have after loosing my job to long covid. A nurse by trade, l didn't think I would be employed after Social Security stepped in and rescued me. I applied for a position and was just hired yesterday, but I still face bankruptcy because of the credit card debt I encurd trying to heal before aid started. We did nothing to her. Some people are born with bad circumstances. she is one them. Our own weaknesses and incompetence lead us to this kind of situation.

I had a similar story to tell. .one day while I was walking with my dog,i saw a girl homeless on the street... When I saw her face, I immediately recognized that she has some education... So I asked her, she told she had completed 12th grade.. My dog also loved her.... Then I took a decision to make her complete her college graduation..also I asked her if she can stay with me in my house, since I was alone in a big house.. At first she denied, but afterwards she agreed... After that I told my mother, she was very happy...life went on..now we completed 5 years of togetherness, she and I completed college and now she is working in a company with high salary... Now she has her own home, I came back to my own place, now every day we contact each other.... Just wanted to share my story..... ✌✌

GREAT WORK!!! Wow, that was totally awesome and made her day, week and month. Not only the money, clothes, food and room, but the company she had during that period. She was able to talk and be talked to like a human being!!! Thank you!!! That made my day! I am in the middle of trying to help a family with a 3 year old daughter who live in their car. It is tough, but this takes steps, and they do not do drugs or drink. Death and jobs loss put them on the streets. We got this though. 🙂 Thanks again, you are awesome! Keep being you! 🙏🙏

Some parents don't care about their daughters. Maybe because they don't have the ability to function as parents. The reason is that they probably never had a family or home. They grew up in foster families or in disfunctional families such as : drunk father or mother, drug addict parents, abusive parents that the father or the boyfriend's mother raped the daughter and so when she escaped from this horrible home and she is asked are you feeling free as a homeless person ? And she says Yes .Everything is Relative in life. @@marbled2816 Well thank you and the same to you, I have however seen enough drug addicts to know one when I see one, it is a psychical appearance not the way they act or how they dress. Her baby will be born addicted to heroine or whatever drug she takes, this means the baby could have permanent brain damage, behavioural problems and that is even after it is detoxed.
Notice how when she starts being treated kindly, she just becomes a regular person again, smiling and feeling free to enjoy being alive, no longer self-conscious. Before that, she has been trampled emotionally by strangers into a state where she no longer feels human. She has been told that she has no tribe, and doesn't belong.

There are a dozen places a pregnant woman can go. She makes more money panhandling. She probably considers this her job. Some of these people make hundreds of dollars a day from hand outs.
They didn't help her, helping means paying for her to live at a hostel for the homeless or buy her a house! They just left her in the streets pregnant and vulnerable with a few buks and a outfit!!!
Pregnant women should always be the priority in giving help and assistance as they are vulnerable to disease considering the place where she lives. Good decision men.

@@loriodell1688 When people say they come from a good home, often it could mean it looks good on the surface yet is emotionally abusive. They may not even be aware of it either because it's always been the norm for them. What I'm saying is if people feel they could go home, they would. So I feel there is more to her story but she just met these people and is on camera so maybe she felt the need to say that she is from a good home because so many people are judgmental. I'm sad that the reality is more people are concerned for the baby and not how helping the mother would be the best opportunity the baby has in life, as that relationship will impact the kid whether she's able to be around or not. Kids are curious and always want to know more about where they biologically came from. Sometimes even without knowing they end up repeating the exact same things due to genetic passing of trauma. I wish I had the resources and money to help everyone I became aware of needing help. I would not feel good about leaving her on the street. Though buying her new clothes will be great for her self esteem, it is only temporary and she needs the type of help a lot of us are unable to give because we too are often struggling. I'm hoping some agency that cares for both mother and child will find her and help give her the tools she needs to get out of the streets because it is a rough life even having a place to live at times. One difference between homeless people and us hiding in apartments is that you can visibly see these people's struggles and on the plus that means they are out there daily asking for help, where a lot of us just struggle alone without opportunity for these struggles to be seen, trying to make it in life.
