Bert, my dad was a veteran and I fought tooth and nail for his benefits! It’s a shame what our veterans have to fight for after returning home! It makes me sick to see any veteran hungry or homeless! Thank you and congratulations to this family🇺🇸

Receiving a home is essentially what has happened to my husband and I. My husband's parents own the house we live in and it will be a part of our inheritance. We would struggle to make ends meet had it not been for them putting a roof over our heads. I have a disability and am unable to work. It is such a blessing

Holy Ghost chills! Thanks Military Wounded Soldiers Foundation for your service and support to the families and Veterans of our country. My dad is a Veteran from Vietnam and I can’t Thank you enough!

I enjoyed this very much. My husband was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the Army, Special Forces Operations. He did many things including being a demolition expert, rescued Americans from the Middle East, etc. He received a Purple Heart Award and later in life, as an architect, devoted his efforts to work for the Veterans Affairs over a third of the US, as a Director, overseeing the building of new hospitals and refurbishing older ones. He passed away in 2022, and I had lived for 33 years in apartment rentals, when my daughter and son-in law surprised me with a home they purchased in full, for me and my pets. I was in shock to say the least!! And also extremely grateful. It took a while to sink in because I had not had a home in many years as I went through a divorce with my first husband, raising 3 kiddos alone, went back for a teaching degree. Very hard times, as my kids were young. I met my second husband years later and an opportunity finally presented itself for us to marry in our 60’s. He didn’t own a home by this time and didn’t what to buy another. So after he passed, I came back to my home state and my kids surprised me with the home I now reside in. It’s 1350 sq feet with a nice fenced backyard, for my little dog and double car garage. Only 20 yrs old so not old. I am grateful every day and thank God for his goodness and for my daughter’s heart for others. I was shocked but not totally surprised, because this is who she is and has always been! She has a heart for many people, her own family, friends, workmates, she does For others in many ways and I am so blessed she is my daughter, as well as so very proud of who she is! She loves God and people. Shows it every day!! ❤She put her law degree aside to home school her children and they are her priority! They are now 19 and 16 and one is on the path to become a neurosurgeon and the other I’m not sure yet but both kids are all A’s and excel at whatever they attempt. They love the Lord and show signs of maturity and qualities like their parents, always thinking of others. These days it isn’t easy for parents raising young ones because of the environment the world has become. Anyway you asked for input as to receiving a gift, etc. It’s hard to put into words. Someone asked me one day, “Do you realize what you have!” Referring to my new home… I said I think so. Yet I find myself pinching myself often still 4 years later, in disbelief!! ❤

My husband and I were able to gift a house to our daughter. It is so comforting as her parents to know that she and now our granddaughter will always have a home either their own or with us.

Wow this made me cry I am so happy for this family but to show this on this memorial day it was extra hard because of the soldiers who died serving this country, God bless this family may they find happiness in there new home.

Wow. I thought the Gary Sinese organization was the only one that gave homes to wounded military. This was so refreshing and hope filling. I am grateful to hear of it. This is such a good thing. PFC or E-3 or Spec4 or E-4 tends to be 3 to 4 year persons. Transitions from Army to civilian life can be a big challenge. God bless ALL Veterans.

Great way for servicemembers who were injured in combat or families who lost a member in combat to have a forever home.

How appropriate after Memorial Day. Home's used to be available to veterans. That's the one stable they counted on. Not anymore in these days. Wonderful to see people being lifted up.

What a blessing for our wounded warriors purple heart recipients and gold star recipients.. Thank you all that are part of that organization. Again thank all our military warriors serving our country and protecting us all here in America. 💜💜💜⭐⭐⭐

Yes, there is New York and NEW YORK!! LOL!! I live in Ohio now but raised in NY and from central/upstate. Very small remote dairy farm town with a population around 1,350 and that was spread out over a large are as you can imagine being mostly farm land. I had 75 people in my graduation class. I LOVE this! So cool!! Best wishes to them. Seem to be very outgoing people so hopefully they settle in nice and make lots of friends as I assume with him being in the trucking business he is on the road several days a week.

Awesome, just AWESOME!! I think our non-profit, all volunteer organization is another "good peoples" group. As alumni, we raise funds for scholarships for the senior students of our Fremont High School in Sunnyvale, California. This Wednesday we will award 26 scholarships for $64,000. It makes all the hard work we put into this effort just to see the smiles on the students. To be a part of their college journey...awesome! Just as you do in December. Hard work, to then give back to the community. Awesome!!

I would also add that the vets don’t always get prompt treatment or admittance to their hospitals, and my husband always said to others, “ I only build them,I don’t run them,” as he too knew of the negative experiences and we know of some who died waiting two months on appointments! It’s encouraging to hear there are some provisions/organizations doing positive things for our Vets!! Thanks so much for sharing this!❤

Wish i was born & raised up north in places like Alaska where the social people environment is a hundred times better than the toxicity menacing environment of very careless / rude people i have to put up with here in Memphis TN . Im only 17 1/2 but cant wait to finally be done with the toxic environment im unfortunatly surrounded in my high school until next May 2025 when i graduate . The violence , crimes , chaos & severe drama is too much for my mental state to deal with for this long . Praying to christ that i meet more nice people like the somers in alaska family

This was great. It’s so different from when vets returned from Vietnam. I was drafted in 1971 while the Vietnam war was going on. I decided to ride it out for 20 years and retired in 1991. I respect all vets because I personally know what they go through.

You know I am a mom of 5 boys and I think to myself all the time all I could ever wish for one day is to own my own home even if it was a 1 bedroom. Something that would be mine Something I could leave for my kids when I am gone. I think housing and owning a home should be a priority for our country for all walks of life. It shouldn't be so hard to achieve 😪. This is so special.

I was out for a walk with my fiancé and dog today and a runner said thank you for your service. I was totally confused. I just smiled bc I don’t know what to do. I didn’t understand why she said that.. I was wearing a shirt from my fiancés company that highly supports veterans!! And it said vet on the back. I never noticed it before. It was a left over shirt I think and once I realized that I don’t think I’ve ever felt so bad in my life!! I’m not a vet I know many… and to represent that honor when I wasn’t felt horrible!! No one can ever thank our true vets enough for their service!!!
