So for the purples, have them do a coordinated ground pound, causing a small earthquake that stuns enemies caught in the shockwave, but airborne enemies will be unaffected. For Rocks, they should huddle together to form a boulder and roll over everything in their path like the Armored Cannon Beetle.
I’m pretty sure there will be a way that this is balanced so that glow Pikmin aren’t overpowered. For example, I think it’s a possibility that glow Pikmin are only available during the night mode, as that is where they seem to be first encountered within those mounds that you have to defend, and we don’t see those during the day.
Breadbug power: 1-get more hp 2- now does dmg 3-shaking pikmin off does dmg When they hit the ground 4-smarter breads and they shake pikmin When near water 5-start taking sparklium instead of dead bodies 6-more strength Giant breadbug: 1-Can steal much bigger sparklium 2-any breadbug whom finds an item / sparklium will alert others and more breads will come 3- When badly damaged will find a body of water and soak up water making any pikmin type (except Blues) will start to take dmg 4-has more hp 5-Cannot be crushed by any pikmin (except purples unless its wet) 6-Can actually attack at night (same for normal breadbug) 7-during night expiditions breadbugs want to steal the captain even if alive (once buried day ends) How to counter 7- you Can still whistle your pikmin making them come to you and doing tug of war.
The only ones I didn't agree with is the purples and the bulbmin. The purples could instead form a circle around your squad then when you release the charge button, the purples do a synchronize ground pound stunning all nearby enemies, more purples bigger blast. For bulbmin, I liked your idea of controlling a bulborb, but instead of a giant bulbmin, all of the bulbmin form a giant bulborb! Like ants!
Tecnically, the glow pikmin aren't pikmin, i theorize it's a convergent species of night critters due to their lack of normal pikmin caracteristics, for example, their eyes aren't shaped equally, the don't live in onions and they don't use the dead bodies of the enemies out there to reproduce. So it's not a pikmin type but has evolved to survive like pikmins
Glow pikmin are only available at night and are the only ones available at night, it's not gamebreaking, it's making sure night missions aren't impossible
to be fair...Glow Pikmin aren't Pikmin in the first place, plus they're ghost-like which explains their ability to form a large glowing orb although the rock & white pikmin mob attacks actually sound like they would work but the blue & red, you know they're resistant to the hazards but unlike yellow can't produce that hazard

I don’t think this would be a good idea, pikmin is as realistic as you can be with walking plant things and seeing anime attacks for pikmin would feel out of place. Also, glow pikmin are weird ghost things, so they can do kinda weird stuff
I had an idea just like your rock pikmin idea, exept it's steered, not homing. and doesn't dwindle down. Instead, it stops when it hits something larger then the bundle

As much as I think this is a neat idea to explore, the framing of the video is a bit bothersome to me. I can't be sure if the op bit was a joke or not, so the proposition of giving all pikmin a fuse ability comes off as serious, and in terms of serious balance concerns. No, all pikmin should not have a fuse ability. Because their fuse abilities just come down to what they do when they rush a foe. That's them working together. I also don't think Glows are op, as they seem to exist off on their own and can't synergize with other pikmin making this ability both a unique trait and a measure to give them the power they need to do what you have to ask of them all on their own during night expeditions. That being said, "What if pikmin could charge up a special attack as a group?" is a fun question and wouldn't need to take balance into consideration as much.
Pinks should bring pikmin up so they don't hurt them on the ground and also I agree with the purple but it should use the animation when you first encounter it in the cave and when it steps it should stun all the monsters and hurts them
Because I felt like it. I made my own takes. Same rules as the video apply. Also they don’t fuse cause that doesn’t make much sense to me. Reds: Each separate red Pikmin starts to wraith in flames and float slightly. Once unleashed, they will all fly at high speeds at the target like missiles, causing high damage, burning and attaching themselves to the target. Perfect for bosses. Yellow: each yellow will dig into the ground and burrow into a large area around the captain, the more Pikmin the larger the area, once unleashed, they will stick their stems out and launch electricity, creating an electric circle that stuns and damages enemies inside. Blue: They will create a giant beast made of water, the shape is different each time, the more Pikmin the larger it is. Once unleashed, the beast will start to absorb enemies inside of it and begin drowning them. Although it only has a specific capacity. And as expected larger enemies take more capacity. Purple: (this one is funny) they will all gather up and charge at at the nearest enemy, once enough have grabbed it, the rest will move onto the next closest. Once all are grabbing something or there isn’t any more valid targets, all grabbed enemies will be literally be suplexed WWE style by the Pikmin. Stunning and dealing damage. White: They will cause a massive toxic mist cloud that encompasses a massive area, the damage is minimal but it lasts awhile and it’s very difficult for enemies to see inside of it. Rocks: They will gather up and put their little hands on the ground. Once unleashed, they will cause a giant crystal to trap the target, later that crystal breaks, dealing a little damage. Wings: since they are more workers and support types, I came up with this idea. They will cyclone around the captain and cause some wind to kick up, once unleashed a small gust will cause enemies nearby to fall over and trip. Leaving them vulnerable. Bulpmin: (This one is pretty morbid) the parasite inside will begin to writhe and expose itself. Once unleashed the parasite will release secretions nearby. Animating nearby dead enemies that will then serve as allies to you. These creatures will die at the end of the day. They will either help by fighting or will even find and carry items. But they will never follow your commands and do everything automatically. Puffmin: This will only occurs if there is some enemy commander to them. But they will all start puffing spores. Once unleashed they will create a similar effect to what creates them. Unleashing a cloud of spores that infects Pikmin.
Hey what if you made combo fusions for fun? Like say yellows and blues creating a hazard area for ten seconds that electrocutes all enemies inside? Or reds and whites causing methane to appear in a area before exploding say, five seconds later? These attacks would be more powerful but could harm the captain if they don’t get away in say 3-5 seconds as while no pikmin would be harmed the captain would take damage (even with a fully upgraded suit), this would occur due to the attacks being more powerful with a longer cooldown and longer charge up time. Also a pikmin boot camp would be an awesome idea, you could have flowered pikmin train (upgrade) so that flower pikmin have improved ai, allowing for flowered pikmin to work together to take down tough enemies say flowered blues being able to throw other pikmin towards enemies like they could save pikmin in 1 & 2.
I would think the purples would make a giant anvil in the air above a designated enemy, the anvil would crash down on said enemy, flatlining them like how you can squish dwarf borbs, if it doesn’t kill them, it applies a small stun, letting you finish it off
rock pikmin should be able to jump onto eachother and form a boulder which will do very good damage but once it hits an enemy all the rock pikmin will get spreaded and then they will just normally attack the enemy the less rock pikmin means the less damage the boulder does and the more rock pikmin means the more damage it will do
What I was thinking for a fusion attack for the red pikmin I thought of the pikmin forming a line and when the charge that line raps around the enemy. then the ring formation incases the enemy in flames before the pikmin going back to the player.
And i think when the yellow pikmin would go in a circle and do a silly little dance then put their arms up when the thunder cloud strikes and the white pikmin will surround the enemy but only surrounds ffrom the back then blow out poison
I hope if bulbmin are in pikmin 4 we will be able to use them during night expeditions it seems weird to only be able to use one type of pikmin during the night and a dog
If Pikmin 5 launch is before the heat death of the universe, I could totally see this being used as an item, maybe it could be used for Pikmin 4 DLC content, maybe you got to also play as Louis with the same gimmicks as pikmin 3 Spoilers in the comments

I had an idea for the blue pikmin that was more offensive but sounds absolutely retarded, they each turn into mini bubble gun gatling turrets and just bombard enemies without having to get dangerously close to the enemy
It will be balanced, glow pikmin are night exclusive, and we know that enemy’s go into a frenzy at night, this could be a health or damage boost. The glow pikmin fuse attack will be useful for taking down these frenzied enemy’s.
yikes this guy doesn't know what he's talking about, the whole point of the fusion mechanic being exclusive to the glow pikmin, is because that's their thing, blues can go inside the water, rocks can break glass, winged can fly, it clearly shows that glow pikmin will also be exclusive to the night mode, so don't bring up balancing, smh I just don't like how you want Pikmin 4 to being based to pikmin fusion like its some weird pokemon/skylanders type gimmick
