Giving this old house a new foundation 

It was a big week. With the concrete pour scheduled for Friday, we had 4 days to get everything ready.
I started off by fitting the damp proof course (DPC) to the bottom of the bearers and putting in the hold down bolts.
Next up we put in the reinforcing, which was really simple - only one top and one bottom bar with links instead of stirrups.
Then we build the boxes for the subfloor vents and screwed them in.
On Thursday, the engineer came to do his inspection and let us know he wanted to tied the new foundation into the existing.
We had a bit of a rush on to make sure everything was done on Friday morning, and finished in time to have an early lunch.
And then the concrete turned up...
