Does it spoof location?

If you have two of these OR have a home router that supports Wireguard VPN server feature it can make you look like you are home regardless of where you are in the world. I have done it. Works extremely well.

@@Placesandspaces35 So I can just use two of the GL-AXT1800 Slate AX routers and it will show my location as my home network? I’d connect one with my home router and travel with the other one correct?

@@o6libra Yes but be aware if you connect the one at your house to your home router then you can run into a double NAT situation (two firewalls on the same network). That can cause issues. My ASUS router supports Wireguard and OpenVPN in server mode. So i just use my home router as the Wireguard server and the travel router as the wireguard client that way there are only two routers involved total in the configuration. If you connect two routers together it could work but your home router should be in bridge mode so there is only one firewall active on the network. If your home router supports Wireguard as a server then no need for two GL Inet routers. You would just need one instead.

@@Placesandspaces35 Got it, thanks for the insight. I have AT&T Gateway as my home router. How do I find out if my current router supports wireguard?
@Placesandspaces35

@@o6libra that router does not support wireguard as i have at&t as well. You would need to put the at&t modem in ip pass through mode (there are videos on here how to do that). Then you would connect your Wireguard supported router to the At&t modem. Passthrough mode disables the routing of the at&t device so your connected router can handle all of the routing duties.
