Yes, Glass Tiger was one of my favorites when it came to music! 3 albums worth of great music, but that's all I can remember! It's like they dissappeared and only started touring again recently!
They've come out with new songs on two compilations (No turning back and then now next), an EP and a self written Christmas album. A number of very strong songs are on those.
The great voice and awesome riffs , Alan Frew & AL Connelly. Great friends and super guys . One of the top bar bands in the day . Newmarket Ontarios favorite sons ...
WAKE UP.... They were NEVER in Bars as GLASS TIGER . . . Perhaps you may Recall "Tokyo" ? ? See your Doctors, Truly, or perhaps you're Thinking of Coney Hatch? 😂
Last time I saw Alan he was playing an electronic golf game inside a bar called donnellys in Brampton. The bar doesn't exist anymore. I remember bumping into him going "oh shit you're Alan frew". I don't remember much except I was wearing a big stupid cowboy hat and I have no idea why. Good to see the song been a long time
For the guitar players out there, does anybody think the guitar was played through a rockman? Sounds identical to Tom Scholz in Boston and the Def Leppard guitars on Hysteria
They seemed to go for a harder edge sound during the glam rock era; this is hard rock compared to previous songs; did management make this decision at that time to go for a hard rock sound
Yes. Not sure who the Drummer in the video is, but Chris McNeil has been their drummer since the mid nineties I believe. Pretty sure the late great Tony Thompson played on this album.
In a recent breakthrough surgery a 57 year old man was given a genetically altered pig heart. While it is true that the man died soon after the surgery, it seems clear that the technology is showing huge promise. Once again GT were way ahead of the curve on this one. Bravo Frew etc.
Tony Thompson. Your'e welcome. Tony joins the growing list of people dead from cancer, at only 50 in 2003. He was good drummer. in demand session drummer - Power station, Chic, Robert Palmer, Madonna etc etc
