Have you ever wondered about the difference between glass and acrylic glass for photo frames?
The below video will give you a great insight into the pro's and cons of each option so you can make an educated decision on what's right for your frames.
Glass is the traditional material used for photo frames.
Acrylic glass, on the other hand, is a type of plastic that's often used as a substitute for glass but with plenty of upside.
Acrylic is our recommended choice at this point in time due to it's many benefits, and a more environmentally friendly choice.
We hope this video helps you make an educated decision for what's best for you!

This video seems biased. Saying it takes glass, a natural and non-harmful material longer to break down than plastic, an unnatural and harmful material, is deceptive. Saying that acrilic is better on recycling is also not accurate. Glass is infinitely recyclable whereas plastic is not usually recyclable at all.

We are an Australian business with a focus on sustainability and we aim to use to the most sustainable option available. In Australia, we have a big problem with glass not being recycled anymore. We have the option to recycled glass jars in our local recycling bins, however there is no longer a recycling service for glass scrap and sheets, and it is mainly going into landfill. Acrylic can only be recycled once usually, and our acrylic is made from 50% recycled materials. At this point in time, we've assessed our Acrylic to be a more sustainable option. Our Acrylic is a higher cost than glass for us but we do not pass that extra cost onto our customers. We hear what you are saying, and we're always on the lookout for a better alternative such as a biodegradable option. If you have any suggestions, please let us know.

You deleted the thread, including all the posts, and then blocked the poster. That was a mistake, but no problem. You see, it's not really deleted as you can see below. And I will take this thread and post it elsewhere where it will show not only the lie, but also the coverup of the lie. The formatting here is poor, but elsewhere it will show really well. @MrMikesMondoVideo 2 weeks ago I stopped watching when you said regular glass has no UV protection. You should know what you're talking about, but you do not. Reply · @mulbury 13 days ago Hi, thanks for your comment! The 2mm glass that we use for framing has very minimal to no UV protection Reply @MrMikesMondoVideo 13 days ago (edited) @mulbury Once again, you are incorrect. It's bad enough that this is your business and you should know this, but it's worse that you haven't vetted what you're claiming even after you've been corrected, and you continue to give people false information. The type glass that has the properties you're describing is quartz glass. It' expensive and has very specific applications, including UV bulbs, and you're not using it. Stop giving people incorrect information, especially when it benefits you. Show less Reply Highlighted reply @mulbury 13 hours ago OK, well we politely disagree with you. We do not use quartz glass. We have tested and measured our glass ourselves over many months. The acrylic we use certainly protects the artwork much more in our frames compared to glass. There's absolutely no benefit to us in terms of which material we use, we're just trying to assist our customers. Have a great day. Reply @MrMikesMondoVideo 8 hours ago @mulbury You're not disagreeing with me, you're disagreeing with every scientist and physics paper on the planet. It's a simple fact that glass blocks UV light. Had you actually tested that, you would know what every other scientist and entry level physics student in the world knows - that even plain soda-lime glass absorbs almost all UV light below 330 nanometers. You can't defy the laws of physics. At first, you could have simply been mistaken the first time you made the claim that glass does not offer any UV protection. That's no longer the case. A simple search on the internet for any physics paper will show that glass absorbs UV light. And your claim that not using glass doesn't provide an advantage is equally false. Plastic is much cheaper than glass. Additionally, both plastic and acrylic are lighter, making it cheaper to ship, and not fragile like glass, eliminating shipping damage claims. Show less Reply

I'm amazed RU-vid allowed you to post this. Usually it would delete a comment like this.
