These are people that scream "No borders, let everyone in!", whilst surrounded by a 13ft impenetrable, guarded fencing system. These are the people who say "Smash capitalism!", whilst attending an event sponsord by big corps and paying over inflated prices for food and drink. These are people who scream "Save the planet, we have a climate crisis!", whilst admiring performers flying by private jet and leaving plastic bottles, waste and tents strewn across a field.

Everyone knows that Glastonbury is no longer about music, it’s a middle class political bore-fest.

Glastonbury: Surrounded by a huge fence to prevent people illegally entering. Also Glastonbury: Britain must not have any border controls at all. The reason why these immature people can't afford a house, get an NHS appointment or travel in safety is that adding 9,000,000 Africans and Asians to the British population in 20 years has consequences.

Im absolutely disgusted by this. As a mother of a 13 year old girl, I'm considering not sending her to University in the future, if this is what they are teaching them. I refuse to watch Glastonbury on tv when they are waving Palestinian flags, how shameful.

I used to go to Glastonbury before the health and safety mob started to interfere. I originally went in 1993, it was a lovely experience, lots of small bands as well as the more commercial ones, a circus field, lots of stalls, workshops and cafes. It was not too expensive, and most people hitched or got public transport to get there , unless you were fortunate enough to own a vehicle.The last time I visited was 2002 and it had changed considerably, I learned that wealthy people bought blocks of tickets and re sold them at inflated prices. It was becoming something that it had not meant to be. It was full of "yuppies" not hippies as it once was. Now I believe tickets are sold out within minutes on the internet, it looks as if all the fun has gone, and it has fallen into yet another corporate mess.

Totally agree. Well said. I used to work at Glastonbury festival years ago, I will NEVER go back, simply because of the political views of most of the people who attend.

Let me draw a comparison here. Imagine if Glastonbury decided let some people in for free, who just turned up at the gate and claimed they were destitute and couldn't afford a ticket. So, then every year, more and more came. Then they offered those same non-paying guests preferential treatment of the best VIP seats in the house, telling those who have already paid for those tickets not to be hateful towards poor people and stand at the back instead. Eventually, Glostonbury's ticket take did not cover the overheads and had to close for good. Do you think they would manage to grasp that analogy?

Well said Paul. These mindless cretins and their misguided demonstrations disgust me. A couple of weeks ago I was walking along The Strand in London. There was a smallish but highly vocal demo outside the university buildings. Shouting and screaming students with their tutors and university staff looking on. Some were aggressively agitated and masked. A large number police were further along the road doing nothing. I approached two of them and asked why they were not taking action against the mask wearers and was informed no laws had been broken as their behaviour did not fit the criteria for police to intervene. All this in a pedestrianised public space. As an ex serviceman, I despair.

Hi Paul, I remember that young girl. I remember watching the whole unedited version of the video of what happened to that young girl. I threw up for hours and hours and was physically sick for hours. It triggered my depression off badly and you've got these idiots who think it's okay to laugh and joke about these situations. They need to think themselves. Lucky that they are not there.
