Glazing old sashes is a nightmare. The old glazing never comes out uniformly. In some places, where the wood is water damaged, the glaze just pops out, but in other places, the glaze is hard and difficult to extract without damaging the rabbet. I’ve tried every tool. Flexible scrapers, heat guns, multi tools, and utility knives. It’s never easy. Especially when you reglaze the windows in place.

been a glazier for over 40 years and this is not a professional way of putty glazing . wearing gloves to handle putty 🤔🙃😂
