@@nayirnolamaz from interviews that I've seen from the cast, pretty much all of them sang live when shooting. Unless they were on location (like in New York) or the performances on stage, they usually always sang live. From what I gathered, I think it was by choice.

She actually worked with her students to help them reach new heights. Schue did not, he just accepted that Rachel and Finn were the best and his favorites and went from there. So I've been confused about this for a long time. When they're shooting the scenes where they're singing, are they singing on set or are they just lipsyncing to a track and they make it look nice when they edit the scenes?

Rachel was really supposed to act like that. She wants to get the solo but Mercedes also wanted it so she fought for that solo. In this performance, the other members are already rooting for Mercedes so Rachel was saddened because she didn't get the solo.

Mercedes was indeed the best singer in glee, however Rachel was a very remarkable singer too with an incredible vocal technique.

@@daniellondono6688 yeah she was a character? Have you not been watching what all her costars from Broadway up to her most recent endeavors have said about her? You should also note all Lea could say in her defence was the olive north defense I don't recall that specific event! Then there's a the fact Murphy based Rachel off of Lea! What's more she is a remarkable soloist and that's all. Part of being a transcendent singer is being able to sing in a group without trying to over power everyone else's voice. Most of the time she can't or won't do that. Also look closer at all the songs on the show. You ever notice that lea always has the correct mouth movements to the words song. However as a great example look at say a little prayer. Dianna's lip movements are off in like a third of it. That's was not Dianna's fault or even Lea's that was editing of different takes to make "the best" take. Its done all the time. Heck its how they make records to. However why is Lea always perfect and say Dianna's was not? Simple Murphy did everything in his power to make Lea the only star and fan favorite. Instead especially after all that has come out she is least liked. So yeah she is a good solo singer but over rated as a preformer. Truth is solo singers are a dime for ten dozen in this world. To be able to handle harmony parts is the mark of a true talent. Guess what everyone on the show was far and away better at that! So yes incredible vocal technique. Very remarkable singer or actress not so much!

@@allen5253 She did plenty of harmonies, listen to 'pretty unpretty' with Diana agron, her harmonies were flawless. Yes I know what her co-stars have been saying about her, however it was over 5 years ago, the show started at 2009, most of the first season was already written when Lea was contacted. Now, the fact that she may have bullied some of her co-stars is a bad thing, and that's unacceptable, but the new cancel community is taking this too far, you don't want to accept that unfortunately this is something that everyone or most of everyone have done, perhaps Lea felt like there was a reason to do it, lack of confidence, marking territory, she had been bullied before etc.. At some point we say things to hurt people that maybe did the same for us, or maybe even did not. This happens especially in our teens or young years. But the new and professional cancel community who apparently are being paid to do their job is not aware that this was years ago, and recently Naya Rivera herself said many nice things about Lea and her pregnancy, let's also remember that Lea gets along with many ex co-stars like Jonathan who is her best friend, Darren Chris, Jenna and Becka who played 'Kitty' and was Lea's maid of honor in her wedding. All of them were on set with Lea. Why did they never say anything? Maybe because unfortunately they know how Hollywood works, and they don't want Hollywood wannabes to think it is the easiest thing to get in, and everything is a fairytale.

Thank you. The one you think is better depends more in your taste in music than anything else. I honestly think that this aggressive behaviour towards Rachel's voice is due to her getting so much attention in glee club. We liked the other characters better and it was annoying to see them as background dancers during most of the shows performances. However that doesn't mean that Rachel is a bad singer. We are just tired of her vocals. That's my take on it, at least.

Ailema 101 amber is Classical trained she can sing broadway she can sing opera she can do pop, r&b, traditional and contemporary gospel so comparing them is silly but not b/c of personal preference but b/c one is far more skilled than the other you can’t compare where someone doesn’t even compete

@@solei-solei6396 It's just a type of style or singing voice. I wouldn't say an opera singer sounds the same as Metallica or as Taylor Swift. If these people all tried to sing the same song it would sound very different. Listen to enough Broadway (specially old Broadway) and eventually you'll hear the difference. EDIT: This, of course, doesn't mean someone can't sing in multiple styles.
