The fact that Unique won the "award" of the most powerful voice in S3 nationals and in later seasons they only made her a backup singer for Marley kills me
Seeing loads of people say that vocal adrenaline should've won. I honestly think that the new directions deserved this win. They killed it. They had more heart and yeah unique is amazing but show choir isn't just a soloist with everybody else hardly even singing.
I refuse to believe anything ND was even remotely better than VA this set. The only reason they won was because the year was ending and they wanted the happy ending.
This is honestly bullshit. Unique by herself was better than half of that season 4 cast and they DIDN'T USE HER AT ALL. SHE BECAME A BACK UP SINGER FOR MARLEY.
she really did deserve mvp and new directions deserved the win. if they gave unique more in s4 and s5 they could’ve won bc all they lacked here is a team effort.
I know why vocal adrenaline lost cause nationals was supposed to be vintage songs Nikki Minaj starships isn’t a vintage song it was done in like 2011 and new directions did vintage songs
and only Blaine is considered by most as the only diva out of the ones in s4... also, I love how every single on in the ND are jealous and scared, but Mercedes and Kurt, ho are so happy for Unique!!!
i love the New Directions and i think they should've won the nationals at some point BUT Vocal Adrenaline was literally perfect this time. they deserved to win for the starships performance alone. wow. edit: yes, maybe this is show choir competition not an unique and her backup dancers show competition and yes, maybe half of the show wasn't exactly "vintage" but if we're talking about overall performance they deserved the first place because they put ND and everyone else to shame.
Have u seen the ND performance? Heck, even only the Paradise by the dashboard light performance? They totally deserved to win. But the VA one is still fantastic

people who say that VA shouldve won are so wrong!! theyre using fancy sets, dancing, acrobatics to distract from the fact that this was a one woman show. unique is amazing, but ND definitely was a show CHOIR not a soloist with backup
New Directions deserved it. Vocals here were no where near as good. Plus, they used all the background antics to distract from the fact that it was essentially a one person show.
Lets be honest, VA can only dance, that's why they don't win, Don't forget that is suppose to be a choral competition, are suppose to sing not just dance

I know everyone is upset that the show didn't really utilize Unique, which is true. But do not worry about Alex Newell, boy KILLED it in Once on the Island, and is the main reason I kept watching Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. I can't wait to see what he does next. (And yes he does use he/him I looked it up)
I've read people saying VA should've won... PLEASE, this was boring af. Unique, damn, she's amazing and the songs were great too, but this is not show choir.
While they were good, people cared more about the dancing and unique herself rather than anything else. New directions deserved the win, because they All sang together. This was just unique and background vocals.

@@felixinacio o problema é que nunca exploraram a voz da Mercedes, tem uma super voz, no vocal adrenaline sempre um ótimo cantor faz os solos e cantam as melhores músicas
Honestly? New Directions should'd lose at Season 3 because Vocal Adrenaline was great at general, and in Season 5 they should'd win because the club who only sang one song (and won) wasn't that great as ND's setlist
Teteco Da Cabeça de Boneco vocal adrenaline lost cuz their performance isn’t show choir... it’s just Unique and her backup singers... ND on the other hand, have parts for other singers and potrayed the performance as show choir
Jasmine Magee you gotta remember that this is a choral competition not a solo feature performance. New Directions featured a multitude of different soloists with a bunch of different killer harmonies. Plus the theme was vintage and starships is definitely not vintage. New directions deserved their first place
True but New Directions had terribly sloppy dancing and extremely second-rate choreography. Their idea of choreography seems to mostly consist of kids randomly running across the stage. I'm indifferent as to who should've placed first here at this competition but I would much rather watch VA as they're far superior in so many ways.
