A fabulous video as usual. I was hut custodian for the EUMC's Glen Licht House in Glen Licht in the late 70s. I always had my eye on doing these hills to complete the local set, but never managed it. A friend and I attempted to do the round of Loch Mullardoch from the dam, but got washed off in horizontal rain at the west end. In the end we retreated back along the north shore past the Seldom Inn. I remember it as a dreadful walk, especially crossing the alluvial fan half way along. I will never make it back to those hills again, so your videos are a great opportunity to feel as if I were there, Thanks again for sharing your walks.

Hello, Its great that you get a few memory bursts from our outings in this terrific area. I've walked along the north side of the loch three times and can honestly say it wasn't enjoyable. On one occasion we had to gain quite a bit of height just to get over a swollen burn. The last two visit along the loch have been by boat so hopefully it will be running this year. Cheers, Charlie

Hi Frank, Not sure if the bike would help much in this case as the track isn't great after the lodge and is more suited to an ATV. Hi Alistair, Not really as once your passed the lodge to track is pretty loose and would be hard to cycle. Getting back to the bike might also be awkward. What a superb route Charlie. Stunning views in all directions. Glen Affric looks to be a special area for walking. Before you set out do you know what the snow conditions will be like? Hi Charles, We tend to keep and eye on the mountain snow conditions throughout the winter via the detailed BBC and pages like www.mwis.org.uk/forecasts/scottish RU-vid also helps as there are a few walkers who upload regularly and you can gauge things from there. If we had any doubt we would take the crampons and ice axe just to be sure. It also helps when you're revisiting a route done previously. Cheers, Charlie
