This was an awesome track and album that takes me back to the late 80's glory days. Loved Glen and Steven Dante! These fellas should have gone further!❤
I loved the song and video when this came out. Even bought the album! I think he moved into songwriting and producing. Definitely a hidden gem of the 80’s.
I was about 11 when this tune came out l remember listening to it in when it frist came out in 1988 l like it then as a kid and still like it as a grow up man still sounds good over 30 years later
One of the first videos to use reverse technology! Glen would have had to sing some lines backwards to get the forward motion singing in the video! Quite rare for the 80's. Danny Wilson also did it a yr later on The Second Summer of love video
I forgot about this tune from my youth listening to Radio London. I thought Glen Goldsmith was English all this time, isn't he an American? Do I really have to Google?
The irony? This was produced by Pete Waterman, of stock, Aitken and Waterman fame. Gotta hand it to him, Pete knew what he was doing back then. Sometimes.
Are you sure about that? I thought the whole album (What You See is What You Get) was produced by Jolley, Jolley & Harris. I know Goldsmith later went on to write songs for artists (Peter André, an artist? rofl) that Waterman did produce, though.
@@Bob_Dub You are so right...S.A.W had nothing to do with this ..although they did many soulful productions earlier in the 80's. This was released in 1988...S.A.W' s sound was very poppy and dance orientated that year. Yeah, he wrote Mysterious Girl by Peter Andre....S.A.W did not produce or write for Peter Andre ever
Glen now fronts Kool as the gang… obviously a take off of the originals. I saw him open Soultastia at Maldon last Sat …. For me the band stole the show and had every right to close the show! Tonight I am off to Boisdales on Canary Wharf to see them again…. Can’t wait
