I recently saw Glen Hansard sing this song live in concert. He puts his whole soul into every second of this song. It is absolutely one of my favorite songs, from any artist, any genre, any generation. This is what true songwriting is at its very best. I love this music.

I was lucky to see perform this live in Berlin, under a light rain. It was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. What an outstanding human being.

Glen wrote this for his Mom from her perspective...because he grew up seeing his parents fight and it was a struggle. Amazing song and performance.

Everytime I listen to Glen, my heart beats a little faster ❤️

Even though this song brings me to tears; it heals me in some way. His voice sheds a light on the broken side of my heart. I've learned to let it go but like the long day it lasts and every hour, every minute, every second...it seriously takes forever. It's amazing how a song can do this to you. I don't know how to even begin to explain my massive love for Glen.

Heard this on Tin Star and it blew me away!

I know what you mean, this performance by Glen Hansard at Breminale in 2012 ... As I watched it, it was almost palpable that the audience were part of something glorious, and I watched, mesmerized, knowing that this is what is called to be part of a generation and seeing it being born and finding their voice...

Lucky you getting to see him live then. His R&R concert was amazing, easily one of the best if not the best concert i've ever been to. I agree on all counts. Glen Hansard always exposes his heart and soul when he's on stage and its amazing to watch.

How can anyone dislike this? I know, absolutely clueless about brilliant music! This is perfection.
