I’m rooting for Glenn Close to take home the Oscar she so thoroughly deserves since Dangerous Liaisons.

She's such an elegant and talented person, and hope she truly gets the Oscar. She's deserved it so many times in her career.

I teared up when she spoke of her mom. What a sad sentiment, but it sounds like it has helped Ms. Close to select more fulfilling work. She is such a talent!

Glenn Close is one of the greatest actresses. She was great in Fatal Attraction, Dangerous Liasions, Hamlet, even as Cruella in 101 and 102 Dalmatians. She was also good in Air Force One. Even in The Shield and Damages.

She got the most number of Oscar Nomination without winning.... Hope she will make history this year ❤️

I literally came back from watching this film an hour or so ago. She is phenomenal. The experience tarnished by old ladies commenting on everything and cackling as if they were in their living room. It's a cinema, respect your neighbour.

I love how Glenn is doing the press rounds to promote the movie. She understands that the Oscar is won not only by the performance, but also by the speeches at awards and the entire public relations campaign that is done for movies. Plenty of actors refuse to play "the game" like Mo'Nique and act all pious about it being all about the performance. It's called show business for a reason.

I'm glad this movie was made. Women need to stop "mothering" men and only marry men who are grown up, are able to support a woman in a marriage, and loves her in his actions not words. Only mother children, please.

Finally, somebody mentions the fact that the WORST clips are picked for these things to promote the movie! I mean...really? THAT WAS THE CLIP THEY THOUGHT WOULD SELL THIS TO SETH'S AUDIENCE?! It doesn't even prominently feature the actress who is there to promote it! There are so many people that have jobs that are so easy but somehow manage to produce awful results and this is a perfect example of that.

i didn't know she is so funny.

I was more than glad to see Olivia Coleman take home the Oscar for her remarkable work in The Favourite, because she was a British newcomer (to the average American viewer) and not really "the favourite" to win! I thought the Academy would prefer The Wife simole because her character is far more likeable than Coleman's toxic Queen Anne, so I was pleasantly surprised about that "underdog win". Now none of that means I don't see Glenn Close's Oscar win as (long, long) overdue!!! Her performance in The Wife was superb, as any of her projects. And I'm still mad she lost against Meryl Streep in 2012. Well to be fair, I also thought Viola Davis performance in The Help was stronger than Streep's (still fantastic) portrayal of Margaret Thatcher. I guess we'll have to wait a few more years for another great actresses to get snubbed when the Academy eventually makes up for past mistakes and gives Close her statue. For whatever reason that seems to be how the AMPAS functions.

Why wouldn't they pick a clip that showcases Glenn instead of Christian Slater and Jonathon Price??

Are people still surprised that love or sex scenes are always the first thing shot in movie? It's pretty standard. You kinda have to get it out of the way cause if they let actors get to know each other (and decided they don't like each other) beforehand, the chemistry will fall flat immediately.
