68 here, been a Glenn Hughes fan since I first heard Trapeze around 1970. I've played in cover bands for over 30 years ( lead guitar and vocals). I've been told that I have a great voice, but could never come close to Glenn.
Maybe he can loan part of that amazing vocals to Paul Stanley for the remainder of their tour because he sounds awful and getting worse as they move along in their so-called career ending tour.
I get blown away every time I hear Glenn hitting those high notes… and right in key! He’s got 10 years on me, I never smoked, but I know my voice couldn’t shred like that now, despite being a trained vocalist for several years (I stopped singing and doing my vocal exercises after having a serious mountain bike accident). This is so inspirational for me to start practicing and singing again!!
The incomparable Glenn Hughes. A man who at 71 years of age, can still hit the same notes that he did when he stated out in his 20's! The KLF called him "The Voice Of Rock". You can hear why! 🤘🏻
What was he doing when he was 20? The same yelling and showing off as today. I'm not surprised that they didn't give him more space in Deep Purple. He can't even hold a singing line for half a minute, he must constantly show off. Horrible narcissist!
@vlsmitt He was 22 when he was headhunted to join Deep Purple in 1973 after a career in Trapeze, which he joined when he was about 19 years of age! If he is as shit as you say he is, by all means, enlighten us as to who you think are the top 3 Rock Vocalists? For me, it's: 1) Ronnie James Dio. 2) Freddie Mercury. 3) Glenn Hughes. 🤔
@@brendannahor1460 Surely not Glen Hughes for me. Glen didn't last more than 3-4 years in almost any band. Even The Dead Daisies is already passé. I agree with you for the other two. But I don't like "The best of" charts and the word "best". You forgot Ozzy Osbourne, Robert Plant, Myles Kennedy, Jon Anderson, Paul Rodgers, Noddy Holder and many others. These all are equally great. And tt is definitely not only about the vocal range that makes a high quality singer. It's also about the color, the technique and feeling, i.e. overall vocal expression.
@vlsmitt Interesting! Of the ones you mentioned, only Myles Kennedy and Paul Rodgers, I would consider actual Vocalists! The others are just singers in Rock n Roll bands! (incidentally, they should have picked Glenn to replace Robert in Led Zeppelin. 1) Because he has known them since before Zeps conquered the world, and he was good friends with the Bonham's. 2) Like I said, Glenn can still it those notes. Robert has admitted that he can't anymore!) 🤔
Glenn is awesome. Great bass player and a voice to die for. This guy is super cool. Hear him with Black Country Communion. WIth Joe Bonamassa and Jason Bonham. Priceless, this guy is IT
Excellent 👍 Glenns voice is still as good as it ever was. Really like the authentic guitarists sound and playing. Top stuff. Drums and keyboards great too. Fantastic, love it.
This guitarist is one of the best at doing justice to the MKIII Blackmore sound and style. He’s listened to Made in Europe a LOT, and it’s glorious. His rendition of You Fool No One is spot on. One of the few guitarists to really get the essence of those wonderful live recordings that became Made in Europe.
Just been listening to you do the Portugal gig. You were amazing, still got the voice and the band is Mega, will definitely look you up at the next London Gig Rock on Glen 😊😊
Was a Trapeze fan all during their existence. Saw them in Memphis at The Overton Park Shell in the early 70’s. Like David Bowie once said…. Glenn Hugh’s best voice in rock n’ roll. AND HE’s STILL GOT IT IN HIS 70’s! Amazing!
Saw him live days ago and he killed it on this song. 72 years old and his voice just refines as he ages like fine wine. I was floored. Those high notes just tear into you.
Great job at playing that almost Richie pretty close to the same sound I'm a very critical guy when it comes to blackmoor he's one of my favorites and I always try to play a lot like him with the sound and the Ferocious he has
В 65 лет так звучит голос?? Нисколько не подсел.Гилан и Кавердейл уже так не могут.Уже нет ни верхов,ни фальцета,а этот как в молодости поет.Молодец!!!
