I was a 33 year old kid in 73 ,saw them play PERTH aquatic centre, I can still see kids by the hundreds dive in when they played smoke on the water, I'm 81 years young this year and still rocking mainly in my rocking chair, Love & Peace from Australia. 😎✌🎶🎵🎶🎵

I'm 64. The very first heavy metal music I listened to was Deep Purple Machine Head, and Black Sabbath Paranoid both on 8 tracks in my brother in laws car. Every chance I got. Then I got my own cassettes of both albums, and pretty much wore them out! A lot of hours of great memories! Amazing how music artists have affected so many peoples lives in a positive way. 😊❤👍👍👍

I'm 46 and I am just now discovering this group. I maybe heard them as a kid some, but my parents wouldn't let me listen to this kind of music, sadly so I'm a little late musically to a lot of things. All good. No time like today to experience the best of yesteryear.

Я в детстве только их и слушал. Был СССР , и мне казалось, что их не существует, что никогда не увижу их вживую. И в 2014 случилось чудо. В Лос-Анжелесе в амфитеатре. Атмосфера была как в далекие 70-е. Огромные трак-драйверы и байкеры, и подруги, ни ветерка и над всей толпой и музыкантами огромное облако марухуанного дыма. Поддал я тогда крепко от счастья.
Согласен всё верно. Не один рок музыкант из западных стран не запетушился не станем говорить о неких не многих в основном это видно по внешнему виду и одеянию поведению
Richie Blackmore received most of the fan worship and Jon Lord was always praised by critics and reviewers for giving Deep Purple their signature sound. But I always thought the underrated Ian Paice's frenetic machine-like drumming is what took these guys to the next level as a band. He was such a force of nature.
Why single out anyone - you can put the best players of the world on a stage and they will sound great, but they will not have a signature band sound. it’s an organism that depends on everything working together.
@@Noah-gq7pqthat’s good you can and I bet it’s so fun. I am not musically inclined but I love to listen to it, pretty much all genres except for barbershop quartet and the heavy metal that they just roar and you can’t understand a word they say. The music I like just not the singing.

Слов нет очень сильная группа. Барабанщик-??? Это великий за всё историю, но там и вся группа не надо их забывать. Это эпоха нашего времени и нашей жизни. Мне 65 и наслаждаюсь.л

Sin duda un momento de cuando estaban en el top de el progresivo, la banda en plenitud, el virtuosismo de Lord y Blackmore la vitalidad y potencia de Gillan y los grandes Monstruos Glover y Paice complementando la obra, nos muestran un momento de cuando la banda se disfrutaba y nos compartían y nos hacían disfrutar de la gran época del progresivo, tengo 63 y aún los disfruto . Honor a quien Honor merece.
Puesss ... definitivamente EL MEJOR GRUPO DE ROCK sea cual sea su género ... sobre todo en esta época de los 70 que considero, estaban en la cúspide del cielo, válgaseme la expresión. Los empecé a escuchar en mis 13, 14 años ... hoy, a los 61 los sigo escuchando ... y los seguiré hasta que me muera. Escuchar su música, ver sus conciertos, es, definitivamente algo excepcional que sólo los que verdaderamente aman esta música pueden experimentar ... los escucho y me olvido de todo. Dios los bendiga y sea como sea, juntos o separados, que sigan haciendo ruido y que el buen Lord, donde quiera que esté, siga haciendo lo suyo ... Salud!
@@elmono3939 I hear the word talent used wrongly here in new zealand all the time. Since talent is a natural ability it discredits hard work put into obtaining skills.
They sucked live unless it was financially advantageous to put on a good show. ie. recording an album, etc. Blackmore was openly hostile to the crowd and Glover loved it. Disgusting outfit.

I've seen deep purple three times seventy three seventy four eighty seven every show was awesome. Then I saw a Rainbow not so much. If Blackmore was sulking, forget it. So I know what you mean.

Close but no...THE WHO beats them for #1. And I would say this "Machine Head" tour show is just slightly better than Van Halen's debut tour which was unfreakinbelieveable. But best LIVE album overall goes to UFO "Strangers in the Night".

Ich bin 74 Jahre alt und habe deep purple in west Berlin 1968 zum ersten Mal gehört ein drei Jahre später beim ersten Konzert in der Deutschland Halle in Berlin und da habe ich mein ersten join geraucht das sind alles erinnerung. Ich gehe heute noch zu den Konzerten von deeb purbel auch die classic mit John lord der leider früh verstorben ist. 😢
Actually, Ritchie broke a guitar. He threw the black one to the floor, strapped it on, and tried to play it but it wouldn't work. He took it off, threw it down again then went to fetch another one, the beige/white one.

Saw this very concert in Munster Germany in 73/74 - complete with those incredible vocal gymnastics and Richie at his very best! A high point in my music experiences.

I was a 18 year old Guitarist from Chicago's Southside playing the upper East. Coast with my Band Brimstone at the time! Doing Deep Purple music and a lot of good ole Hard Rock! One of my early bands! A great summer of 1973 playing and ROCKIN the East Coast! A year or so later I got together with some people back in Chicago after Brimstone broke up! It was the Band ARG! And we Rocked the Southside and Chicago area for about 20 some year's! Actually we we're still somewhat together in 2011 until my Drummer/Lyricist Wife Died from a Brain Tumor Cancer Suddenly at only 54 years old! I was 57 11/7/2011! I met JoAnn Vermette (Kowalski) in the late fall of 1974 and Formed the Rick Group ARG! A couple year's later we had fell in LOVE and still in the the Band ARG! Our 1st love of course and got married a few year's later and continued to Rock a until her Death! I miss her Constantly! She would be 65 this Month and I'll be 68 in September! В 1973г., я был студентом в Ленинграде и купил у спекулянтов граммофонную пластинку с их первым альбомом за 150 советских рублей. Сейчас, эта сумма равняется $600. Я переслушал их песни тысячи раз и всегда, мне кажется, что я слушаю, эти гениальные песни, как в первый раз!!! 50 лет!!!
