I know it's a bit brutal, but if they really purged the first few hundred infected when they first saw the virus, it would actually spare countless more lives.
@@whitegoose2017 not probably, surely. Chris Metzen and all the Blizzard founding fathers are long gone, the company is a husk of what it used to be...
@@whitegoose2017 we get gay dragons asking us to pick flowers for their gay husbands now thank god for all the soldiers of lordaeron who died protecting the gay rights of citizens and dead people in the afterlife who consider themselves trans this is the reason i started playing warcraft 2 20 years ago
The path to glory, the path to freedom, the path of the north, the path of death, the path of the damned. With all these paths everyone who faced arthas became one among the damned. Rest in peace, my king. This world is truly damned without you.
Blizzard never would have broken out and become a runaway success if it wasn't for their exceptional music. Knowing a few musicians myself, I have to hand it to their composers - making music that is both high quality AND resonates with the story and setting... it isn't for just anyone.
This was such a dark story in World of Warcraft, something I doubt they'd have the balls to repeat again. The culling of Stratholme is by far my favorite part of the whole lore, including its music with epic chorus. This is just a masterpiece in general. I really, really miss having an actual strong and relevant paladin organization like the Argent crusade or even the Scarlets.
Annona frumentum , effeci funestus. Veneficus fatalis. Ex fervor incedo. The price of the corn is within the corn itself. The twisted warlock turned it to poison. His fate is sealed, as the heat of the fire roars on.
Morbid Mirror: i agree, music is the one thing blizz NEVER fails at. the even pulled off the asian feeling in MoP to the point of goosebumps. 100% genius
Annona frumentum , effeci funestus. The price of corn and wheat, I yielded to the fell villain. Veneficus fatalis. Ex fervor incedo. The deadly poisonous. The heat is so heavily.
Translation from Nero Archon in another video: "and the translation of the words from various meanings on the net ..found out that they kinda go on like these....... '' anonna-(yearly) frumentum-(grain), effeci- (bring, cause) funestus-(disaster fatal), veneficus-(poisonous magical , sorcery) fatalis- (fate, destined, deadly) , fervor- (fever, boiling ) incendo-(burning,hot, blazing)''......... kinda describes what happened to stratholme from the plague" Idk how accurate that is, but seems legit imo.
Would've been cool if there were 5 unique units with wow tier armor sets from wotlk labelled "adventurer" that you had in your forces for the reforged level.
Annona frumentum, effeci funestus.Veneficus fatalis. Ex fervor incedo. The price you pay for the grain comes from the grain itself. The twisted warlock turned it to poison. His fate is sealed, as the heat of the fire roars on.
Arthas: Glad you could make it, Uther. Uther: Watch your tone with me, boy. You may be the prince, but I'm still your superior as a paladin. Arthas: As if I could forget. Listen, Uther, there's something about the Coronavirus you should know. Oh no. It's too late. These people have all been infected. They may look fine now, but it's a matter of time before they turn into the undead. Uther: What? Arthas: This entire Europe must be purged.
i don't know about anyone else , but for me this song invoke some PTSD creepy like feeling especially at the beginning when its building up. maybe because of the tragedy that happend to stratholme.
-Oh no. It's too late. These people have all been infected. They may look fine now, but it's a matter of time before they turn into the undead. - What? -This entire city must be purged. -Uh.. Arthas... It's hard decision but I think you are right. I'll control the gates so no one will escape, In the name of your father! Go! -Yes, teacher, let's do this! For the Lorderon!
yes he did. the culling of stratholme did absolutely nothing to cull the undead and ultimately led to the collapse of a centuries old kingdom. him doing everything wrong for the right reasons is part of the tragedy lmao
@@Fr3k3 maybe if Uther and Jaina didn't pussy out, Arthas would have had enough forces to cull stratholm and defeat Malganas in Northrend without the need to pick up a cursed blade
@@metalicana5894 if you think frostmourne corrupted him u learned nothing arthas was gradually losing faith in the light and falling to darkness frostmourne was the final push hes always been like that deep down he did all of it out of his own chooise and decided the only way to save azeroth from the burning legion was to have the scourge protect azeroth from it thats the whole point hes a tragic hero not a victim
@@Fr3k3 nah the kingdom was doomed either way at least under arthas it was still ''saved'' in a sense its better than it being completly burned down to the ground
