Glennis, one of our best female pop/soul singers. When I close my eyes, I hear Whitney, and this Run To You cover is my favorite of her. It’s sad though most people only know here because of her Whitney Houston covers. She started her career winning a Dutch TV show called ‘the Soundmixshow’ covering Whitney Houston. She never has been succesfull with her own songs. I do not even know if she has any.
In the video of Danny Vera you we wondering about Country music in the Netherlands. The person who is a great country artist is Ilse de Lange (also written like Ilse Delange) . She also had a small part in the US serie Nashville. "Old" hits of her are World of hurt, I still cry, I'm not so tough. Since a few years she's part of The common linnets.
