Gliders Fly from Sea to Sea: Lithuania - Ukraine 

Historic flight “Gliders fly from sea to sea: Lithuania - Ukraine”. Team leader Algirdas Šimoliūnas, actor Sakalas Uždavinys and Vice-champion of FAI Junior World Gliding Championship Ignas Bitinaitis made a long distance of 1 800 kilometres - from the Baltic to the Black sea - in engineless gliders per one week, what at first sight seems like an impossible challenge. It marked the 100th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuanian statehood, and proved that great distances can be covered with gliders.
