My 1st glitchless speed run in Stranded Deep using the same seed from my world record glitch permitted speed run. This was painfully slow in comparison, but is a more accurate portrayal of normal gameplay.

I cant believe i beat you by only 7 minutes and you were making refined spears and raft anchors and all this LUXURY stuff! I mean, i did pause to go pee, but I didn't think I was taking a piss the whole time lol
What can I say? It was my first go at using a 1 piece raft, so I was a little paranoid. I'll have to actually test out each boss without an anchor and figure out how to make sure I don't lose my raft. You peed for like 20 seconds man - quickest pee in the west!!
Guess it was only a peedrun... lol well i did anchorless on mine with no issues, there a trick to the abia docking, putting it up on the buoy for lusca is fine so long as theres no storms or super chop and meg is kinda the same. Meg's is the most precarious for obvious reasons. Easiest to go retrieve your raft real quick in a boss fight too tho. One run i basically had to chase meg down in the direction of my raft then climb on and sail back 3 different times lol
To be honest, I am using your videos to learn, i personally prefer this short glitchless speed run, I learn more in a shorter time than to sit and watch 5 hours gameplay. Watching less than an hour of you has got me further in the game than any video. Great stuff!!
Nice one, thanks. I am glad someone told you about the short comings you had and you are spot on. Also I play on ps4, once the jerry can in the fuel still is full I destroy it to get the 2nd full can. I think you only need 2 cans and see if you can shave off that extra.
DONT YOU SAY IM DOING RANDOM SEED GLITCHLESS! Lol I'm just doing random seed. The "Masochism" run you're referring to will be random seed, glitchless, raftless, compassless, and no antidotes allowed! I'm kidding I'm not actually planning to do one of those, that would be... well... masochism.
glitchless no raft? You want me to swim around the entire map looking for the bosses, WITHOUT the speed swimming glitch? Yeah, no, that isn't going to happen. lol. Maybe I will eventually do a glitchless random seed run with a raft, but not without.
Give speed running a try then. It's a good challenge, as you really have to learn how to play it differently than regular game play. Eliminate everything except the things that you have to do to complete the game as quickly as possible. Its not as easy as you would think.
Question if you were going to only build a one by one raft that can be flipped over why build a raft at all why not use the inflatable they give you at the beginning?
Because I hate the inflatable :) It's slow and I don't like paddling. I've never tested the difference between the 2, but I'm fairly certain that the raft with sail is faster than paddling the rubber inflatable. Maybe I should test it ....
@@agoork01 I don’t know if it would burn stamina that would suck if it slowed you down but I just figured it would be faster than building the raft and then building and anchor and rudder and sail
