I very much appreciate that Professor Wolf recognizes the the pain, hurt and damage at the personal level. Human beings are dying. that concerns us all. The welfare of the individual human being is what is the most important for all of us. Peace is what all governments ought to pursue, today and forever.

It's sad to know that the once very accessible high end education system that produced academics, public intellectuals and critics like a prof. Wolff, a Noam Chomsky, a Ralph Nader, a Carl Sagan from working and lower middle class backgrounds, is now a thing of the past. Where is our later generation's follow ups to guys like these? As a Turk with modern, liberal, democratic understanding and a Western lifestyle, which is against the gov. propaganda, yet being followed by the majority of my country's population me included, I totally agree with this way of seeing the world, politics and the decline of the West according to this presentation. Actually, since my country is a melting pot of the West and the East maybe even the best case about W vs E, these thoughts he shares are already being seen and shared here for years. The problem I see is, the West reached its symbolic, theoric, political, spiritual, cultural, military, social, geographic borders between 1990 and 2001. After that point, it is obvious that the West which was founded first by Romans, then King Charlemaine, Crusades, Renaissemce, colonialism by Spain, Portugal, Neatherlands, England and France, industrialisation, ideologies such as Imperialism, Communism, Liberalism and finally Capitalism, two horrible world wars where Germany competed to gain European leadership against the old leaders Britain and France and the rising new leader abroad, USA, was declining. There were no new thoughts, no new paradigms. USA went to fight an idea 1400 years old which is Islamist fundemantelism or Selefism. USA in itself started fighting socially over such gimmicks like gender recognition, like they are fighting for the prevention of hunger in the world. And in USA the so called "left" and "right" both sound like a reality TV show variant of the actual left and right. Both let bloodshed in the world when in the senate, both are equally nationalist, racist, pro christian, pro western suprematist. they only differ in matters that are a gimmick in the eyes of the human race. When the last US military cargo plane left Kabul airport, there were hanging Afghan boys on the plane tires to run from Taliban which Taliban was the reason USA invaded Afganistan since it housed and back El-Kaide which did the 9/11 strikes. Those boys fell from the tires when the plane lifted, killing those boys and the hope for the West. The world is in such a dark shape that the educated middle class all over the world is losing jobs and hope on humanity. The poor all around the world including USA are so deeply poor that they are living the conditions of the Middle Ages like enlightenment, industrialisation the revolutions on scince, health care, medicine, social security and conduct never happened. And all around the world the middle class having less children that in a few centuries there will be only a billion or less people left on the world. While only the poorest of the poor having more than 4-5 children with the hope of maybe one or two surivives to take care of their family. Like we are in the ice age and the clan trying to survive through children. This means that more undereducated, illiterate people will be around to do all the work for the most better educated elder class all over the world. That means the quality in everything man does will drop, and AI and automation will take the place of the work force while nobody will have income to buy the goods and services that high quality production supplies. Added to all these crisises, the crisis of the climate change which brings us record after record like where I live, never seen 15 celcius in january, it should have been 2-3 celcius now, which means no rain or the precious snow which feeds the corps and the rivers so that god knows how expensive will be the water and bread this summer. Climate change will bring more and more plenty of those multi children poor Asian, African, American boys towards the north, Europe in the old world, USA in the new world. A more nationalist Europe and USA will be the natural answer to this endless horde of young male survivors ready to work hard and also rape hard, steal hard, kill hard. You know, Romans were at their natural boundaries when they started to fall. Iranians stopped them at the border of Irak and Iran for three centuries. Meanwhile it was not profitable for the Romans to venture east into Ukraine and Russia, south into the Sahara Desert. And they were lacking the tech to reach the new world. So they started to harm themselves in crisis after crisis. And poor and lackluster barbaric migrators brought the empire on its knees. A far cry to the victorious defenders of Italia against countless invasions by Celtic tribes. This time the empire was old in mind, power, social structure. USA is not liked around this part of the world. It played with all the sides toward all the others. All countries rich and poor, big and small are played by USA. None were ever played by China, some hates Russia, some wants to get along as Russia is a neighbour to them and we know big and angry neighbours are more harmful than an even bigger and angrier guy that lives across the town. Your neighbour is next door 7/24, the other guy seldomly busts the neighbourhood with his car, yells, curses and leaves. Geograhicaly actually when left to its own, Russia will always get good connection with EU. Since they are connected via land, Russia has energy in need of good high tech, EU produces high tech, needs energy. And also China is a neighbour to Russia. China also produces high tech and low tech, needs energy again. In a sense, the old world can create an equilibrum for peace and commerce, while USA, Canada, mexico and the whole south America together wouldn't be able to create a comparable equilibrium against the old world. And US knows this. So it is like US will try to buy time. Like GB did in the 19th Century and two world wars in the twentied. It did not work and US took its place through those world wars. Now China and its bussiness partners will take US' place sooner or later. US already started to look like an old, crazy grandpa, with its media acting like we are in the dark ages, sorry, 90's, only US rednecks from the middle and south knows the right way to this world and the rest of the world is full of cannibal tribesmen into vodoo stuff. The next phase will be US average folks believing in a conspiracy that the whole world is anti US. Without acknowledging their own wrongdoings which created a great dislike against the US and themselves now toxic, in never ending suedo crisises. While the world moves on towards bigger and bitter struggles like the war against human extinction. I know there will happen to USA as I am from a country that was formed upon the ashes of an empire. Wait to see when Hispanic south of USA, the leftist and liberal west coast, the hawk middle and east fights over the leftovers of the US empire. So sad but I am like already watched this movie. Texans will never like the folk from Cali anymore, Washingtonians will hate them all. And so sad but there will be blood.

What's really depressing is there is no world order on the horizon that is just, fair and respectful of human dignity. The future will be a series of conflicts between oppressive regimes as they beat each other back to access what few resources are left in this dying planet.
