Problem is capitalism become GLOBAL. A single state can not do even old new deal type of policy now as you simple can not tax your rich or your corporations, as this simple hide there profits somewhere else. You can exit EU, you can not live global capitalism. Capitalism and state was always integrated, one can not exist with out other. So, now you need global state to run capitalism or you need to move away from capitalism. Choose one, you can not have both.

Utopia Project Along with capitalism, religion, especially the fascist death cult ldeology of lslam, is one of the wold's great evils and the world would be better without them. Unfortunately, neither can realistically be banned, we can only hope their adherents learn to disavow them without being killed in the process, but this a forlorn hope. Even if these abominations were defeated, human nature, overpopulation, and environmental degradation means there is little time left on this planet anyway.
Utopia Project Perhaps those critics of lslam currently under threat of death and ex muslims are the best people to explain why lslam is anti democratic? Yes, the world would be better without capitalism and fascist death cults, but it would not be utopia, human nature will see to that. (As an atheist for more than half a century, being referred to as "new" is always a compliment)
