In this video, Mr. Cellini reviews the first CRQ section from the August 2019 Regents exam in Global History and Geography. The first document is written by Robert Owen, who comments on some of the negative effects of the Industrial Revolution in Britain. The second document is written by John Fielden, which is an excerpt from his book, The Curse of the Factory System. In the excerpt, Fielden specifically comments on the poor labor conditions created by factory work.
Watch as Mr. Cellini reviews the historical circumstances for the Industrial Revolution taking place in Britain, John Fielden's point of view concerning the factory system's impact on laborers, and a cause and effect question that pairs the two documents together.
