I have 2 of these. One I bought years ago that's an MOS tricked out. The second I bought used last week. Blasted near new to look at it. It included a KKM Precision 5.3" 10mm barrel, 3 15rd 10mm mags, 20 & 22lb NDZ recoil spring assemblies and all the original accessories. I just wanted the barrel, but dude wouldn't separate the package. It is an outstanding piece as a 45ACP. With the 20lb spring, it runs 450SMC & 45 Super perfectly from Underwood and Buffalo Bore. Add the ability to use any 10mm made (with proper spring selection), and it's an absolute delight with a barrel length halfway between a G20 and a G40; what I'd consider optimal for 10mm outside Alaska. Nice review. Liked and subscribed!
Great review. Picked one of these up this past fall and it is now my home defense pistol. It's the perfect size and the reliability really gives peace of mind. Love the sledgehammer analogy, that's spot on! Thanks for the great review.
Nice. I love my .45s! I have an older 21 as my lone Glock, but I do like them all.. I've made it a point to not look at many guns lately because knife bug, but that seems to be waning.. thankfully.. this 41 tho.. it has my attention now.. i like the idea of a longer bbl with almost the same heft as the ol fatty. I also am a fan of the golden saber rounds of all weights. The 230s especially.. what I noticed (and sort of like) is the brass jacket tends to shed and stay in one piece, turning into a brass razor flower of a freak meat eating projectile on a separating trajectory from the core. Yum! I have several recovered mushroom and flower sets I should photo and upload... The reliability of the Glock is almost alarming, especially when you've recently spent a stretch of time 'tuning' something like a 1911 or the locking lug on a fkn FAL... The only stoppages mine ever had was 2 ftf by short cycle.. caused by 13 rds stuffed into a brand new mag with poly coated steel case ammo (tula) on a super cold day. I mostly blame the ammo, brass would have worked I bet. I noticed the poly gets unslippery in cold conditions and the rounds function as if sticky. Happened on both mags once, then not the second time. Couple the new spring at maximum compression with the sticky ammo and no go. Ejected the round, cocked the action bar, but closed empty. So you really gotta get evil to try and stop them, i dont see it happening with any use situation in real life.
Hey, Joe, ...first of all, thanks for the comment and the view. If you like the 230 gran sabers, check out the 185gr +P, It has like 530 foot-pounds of muzzle energy...way more than the 230, which is no slouch either. I think the 41 is my most accurate Glock, and you would probably be happy with it. btw, I understand the knife addiction thing too...just look at my video list. Anyway, thanks again for the view and the comment.
+Aragon Analytics ft lbs don't tell the whole story, if one penetrates deeper or expands bigger or both who cares which one has more energy, 230 grain HSTs expand bigger than anything thrown out of an automatic
I’m six years late and those 185 grain +p golden saber bullets have been discontinued. I was looking forward to using them, but great video and will be subscribing
Great Video! I just picked up both the Gen 4 G21 and G41 MOS and I added Trijicon HD to the 41 but the I am waiting for the 21 HDs come in since the 41 got the last set.
I own right around 20 Glocks... The 41 is just about my least favorite. I wanted to love it, I just have never warmed up to it. Love 45, love Glock, just not the combination in that size. Maybe if they bring this out in a gen 5, I'll try again.
