Glock 43, Springfield Hellcat, and Smith and Wesson Shield go head to head, TO HEAD to see which gun functions best and which I recommend for your every day carry! Which gun is best!? Comparing compact guns was awesome. How to shoot without ammo, and ammo shortages! I am just a guy in a gun room, so if you have a different viewpoint let me know!!! I was gonna ask if you had seen the shield plus, but saw in the comments you knew about it lol. The few small tweaks done made a huge difference and really just put it up to speed with the competition. Really nice vid, keep doing your thing, shout out from Puerto Rico ✌🏼

@20:00 Shield: if you called S&W or checked the owners manual, both will tell you to Slingshot the slide to insert a round.. it's a slide stop not a release on the Shield. the 43 & Hellcat are both, slide stop & release. I have that very same FDE Hellcat and a Shield and out of the Box, if you shoot'em one after another, the Shield is a much much softer shooter and it's not even close. I had to break in the Hellcat.. Beautiful Gun and Great video 👍

The Shield should not have to be sling shotted to chamber a round. It's 2021, the Shield is just old school I guess.

Still rocking my g43. I carry with a taran tactical +1 and a +2 backup. I love the +1 extension, it's slightly shorter than the factory pinky mag it comes with so adds just enough to get a pinky on the grip but doesn't change the dimensions.

It is interesting that you like the Glock better than the m&p based off of the grip angle I have found I like Glock but the grip angle has always made me get rid of them the m&p has always just felt more natural to me both great guns and personal preference is why they are both still in business

Great video. I have all 3 of these guns. My Shield being my first purchase then the 43 then the Cat. Two things I would input… I really don’t know anyone that doesn’t change out the sites the day they buy a Glock😂 Second the slide release on the Shield can be modified to make the release easier. Tons of videos on that. All great guns though. The important thing is what gun works best for you. Again, great video. Stay safe. 🤙🏻

I currently carry the Springfield Hellcat with the 13 round and 15 as back up but I still find myself carrying my Smith & Wesson Shield 1.0 from time to time such a great shootable gun. Next is 43x especially now that they have the shield arms 15 round mags.

I just purchased (06/22) the G43x MOS came with a rail, ( price $569) it was extremely difficult to find especially without the red dot already mounted. I’m my personal opinion not trying to change anyones mind but I own the G43X, Hellcat, and the 365XL and they all conceal equal, the only difference with the Hellcat it’s a bit better in appendix and it’s the snappiest out of the 3 but not bad I shoot 100 rounds no problem. For 3 o’clock carry to me they are all great.

I really want to try the Shield Plus and the Shield EZ to see the difference! The P365 is a great gun too! BUT I will always pick the Hellcat. That is a truly amazing machine!

@@jeffofalltrades8489 story of my life. I really want to try the Shield Plus and the Shield Ez as well. I heard heard Shield Plus' trigger is like a slightly worse Apex trigger. However, I just prefer the ergonomics, grip texture, and capacity (still the best in its class for the smallest footprint) of the Hellcat better. I tried the P365, P365 XL, Shield 2.0, and Glock 43X at the time and ultimately choose the Hellcat. Doesn't hurt that I just shoot it better than my old, original Shield. The OSP model at my Scheel's was $539 too when I purchased it last December and that's my first optics ready pistol.

@@jeffofalltrades8489 Can you give me the info on the laser bullet, targets and the training you do? I have a G19 and a M&P 15 sport II. I'm new to firearms and want to dry fire a lot on both. Thank you...I will probably get the hellcat next, when I get ready to go for my CCW.

The Shield grip angle is better for me. I never liked Glocks. The Shield 2.0 has better improvements too. A safety is extra protection and is optional. I personally like the Shields thin grip too when carrying.

When I go to the gun store it's like going to the dog rescue. I love all them. I want to take all of them and to give them a loving home. Having said that I carry a fully optimized Sig P365xl.

My first gun was the Glock 43. Loved that gun qualified CCL with it! I did get a mag extension plus 2 (9)! I use IWB and it isn’t much different than the Hell Cat in handle grip. I have shot the Hell Cat which I found a little snappy! Both guns are great! Liked and subscribed!

Training with a laser bullet teaches bad habits. When you draw, pull the trigger then immediately rack the slide and reholster your gun, that’s likely what you are going to do in a gun fight. Laser bullet might help with static shooting, slow trigger pulling skills but the speed drawing, racking and reholstering is not good training.

So I went to my gun shop and rented all 3 of those guns. I should say I am very slim guy. Everything you said about the shield was the same reason why I did not choose it. I did like the trigger. The Hellcat and the Glock 43 were very close in trigger feel. I did shoot the Glock 43 little better then hellcat. I did like the hellcat but 43 did less imprint then hellcat. After long decision I choose the 43. After couple of upgrades I went with Tarren tactical plus 1 so 7plus 1 in chamber 8. I carry another mag with 7 on me. Figured in self defense situation 14 good amount.

The hell cat is a better gun I own a 43 I let my son use that one I hope he never gives it back I carry my hell cat every where but I also carry in my Hell cat car a Glock 23 40 maybe the best gun on the market. . My Glock 23 40 I was offered 1200 for it I turned it down and you may ask why would anyone offer you 1200 for a Glock 23 40. Well my Glock can shoot 22 , 9mm , 357 , and a 40. I had to buy the parts to change them out with

I’m about 5’10, 140 I’m leaning towards the 43 but the hellcats capacity keeps me coming back. At the end of the day I just want to do as little imprinting and weight as possible. You stated that the 43 conceals better than the hellcat?

Support hand grip is too loose. Tighten that grip. Other than that.. great comparison. I always recommend people shoot different weapons to see which one they shoot best. Everyone is different and all three are good choices for EDC

Hellcat has a really nice pad on the left, as well as right, for proper non-trigger thumb placement. Really keeps it under control.

The S&W Shield slide catch is just that, a hold open. It's not designed as a release. They want you to pull the slide back all the way and let go to chamber a round. It's made that way by design.

@@Silvertheta unfortunately per RU-vid guidelines I can't link anything to guide you for purchasing guns or accessories, but I can just say to go to a local gun store and have them look into getting on. Or buy one off line from a reputable company and have them deliver it to any gun store for the ffl transfer. You may have to pay $50 for a fee ontop of the gun. I also don't know a ton about California laws so I'm not sure if they will allow the Hellcat because of its large ammo capacity

All the guns are the best for concealed carry *_IF_* it is reliable & not too small for your hand. Anything else is personal preference.

@@jeffofalltrades8489 For EDC and I do carry everyday: I owned a Makarov - too heavy, owned a Glock 42 - way too small, I owned a Glock 43 - too small for 9mm (gun would kick too much in my XXL hands), now I own for CCW/concealed carry a Glock 43X & it is perfect *_for my use._* The Hellcat has a jamming trigger issue so that is out & the S&W would work but I personally don't like them as a gun company (nothing wrong with them this is just me). So until the laser gun comes out I think I will use the G 43X for a long while for it's fit in my hand, not it's round count. God bless

I personally love the thickness of the Hellcat in my hand which is funny because I have smaller hands, and you said you have XXL hands so that surprises me! I have 0 experience with the 43xl though so I am pretty ignorant to the grip on that weapon.

Well now they have the 43x and shield plus so putting the hellcat against the regular g43 and shield is not a comparison, hellcat 9mm hands-down. The shield plus I like alot but does not come from the factory with a optic cut like the hellcat or the 43x.

Did you watch the video? He’s aware there are other guns out there. Maybe next time he can review 38 guns to make sure he covers them all. New guns come out every single day. How the hell do you expect him to review all of them. Not to mention, I respect this video more because he did the base guns which most people own right now. The glock 43X released 2 years ago: do you think more people have that gun? Or the base 43. Maybe you can make a RU-vid and do a better job than him. I’ll look forward to seeing your review. But if a new gun releases, even after you make a video, I expect an update and the old video deleted.

S&W has a slide lock, rather than a slide release. I don’t believe it was designed to be a slide release.

Sure I could! But the Glock 43 is a very popular gun and I think very comparable, as the video states, with the size and grip. I felt it made a good addition to the other two weapons in this video. I'm sure the Sig P365 would have fit in well also! I only have a handful of videos on RU-vid right now, so keep in touch with my channel and I can make a P365 video happen soon!! Answer: Sig P365 (?), also 'made in USA', believe it or not. The X model fits a man's hand better than original model.

@@jeffofalltrades8489 try to compare in person; for concealed the Shield seemed too big (unless you wear thicker clothes). The X model of Sig better for concealed with 3.1" barrel than XL (3.7"), grip length same on both. 👍

Carry the standard Hellcat but also have the RDP. After the Hellcat would be a P365, I thought Shield Plus was ok and I don’t even care for Glocks

I'm not sure where Quality comes into play with these three guns? I would say all 3 makers in this video have fantastic track records and quality. I do have a video on my CZ P10F but I do not have a P10C or S. The S, to my knowledge, was replaced by the P10C. I will agree, the CZ is a great weapon, but I didn't have one to compare for this video.

It is a pain sometimes, but the gun itself is truly amazing in my opinion. You could always get an aftermarket trigger for it! Check out my Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0 video. I have an after market trigger on that, which brings it down to a 2 pound pull. Its an amazing flat trigger from Apex and I would recommend it to everyone I know!

It has a break in period. I have 500 rounds through mine, shoots as good or better than any tiny pistol I've shot, and I've shot a lot of them. I'll admit I couldn't hit with it out of the box, was almost disappointed. Glad I kept it now, smooth as it can get, and I still have the stock everything on it. The tritium died, but all tritium dies.

Apparently not yet ... Glock is a base standard when it comes to pistols, so most guns are compared to it. Being trusted by the government and military for decades pushed the brand. It's near impossible to google a new gun without seeing "New Glock killer?!?" Somewhere on the web. Everything is compared to the Glock because it is the basic, reliable, golden standard. Although I will agree with you, I hate the way the look. But you truly can't argue with the performance of a Glock.
